I should probably point out why AAA/FC/etc counts don't matter. The number of AAA's a person have isn't a good deciding factor because someone may be too lazy to go get the lower level files where as someone else may strive to get all the AAAs they can. FC's don't really mean anything because you can go and get 343/45/0/3245645y3658475 on something but then say get 1/0/1/0 on it. Obviously the person who didn't FC is more skilled at the song. Overall rank is nothing more than how much you've whored the game and finally Tier pts and average rank is in the same boat as AAAs, some people go after it some don't.

God I look like such an "IDIOT" now... sorry bout that Psychoangel... :S thanks for clearing it up. mabye i should spend more time balancing out my scores rather then trying to play the impossible all the time.

I think I didn't realise how much cometition I had in the community.
Mabye this is an eye opener to play better/harder.

either that or I got placed incorrectly, But i "DOUBT" that's what happened.

but then again... I havnt played in a seriously long time do to lag, and i just managed to fix it at the start of the Tourney... Hmmmm

From my own personal observations so far, there are a good number of people that do seem to be rather misplaced.

People are not "misplaced" according to their stats they are capable. I said before this even started that skill drops would NOT be factored into the division placements because it's too much of a liability. With a tournament that lasts two months if I place someone down that is normally capable of the division they would normally be in, they're likely to destroy the division below them in later rounds from gaining skill back. And how would that be fair to those who actually belonged there the whole time?
The fact is if you try hard enough the skill you once had is achievable again. When I had my daughter I didn't play for months and yea I had like a week or two that I wasn't quite up to par but then I was actually BETTER than I was. There was 10 days before the start of the tournament that people could have practiced and there's a week for this round. The problem is people don't want to try it's just "this is too hard, I don't belong here" rather than giving their all and gaining that skill back.

Nice score there Cammy. If nerves are what's stopping you from getting the AAA then convince yourself that you have what it takes to actually pull out the perfect score.

I do this a lot and while it often yields to frustration, it just leads to nonstop play until I get the desired result.

The problem with me is that I signed up 3 days before first round :S I know that's not an exscuse but.....
You know what.... the file is becoming slightly easier to read.. mabye a little more patience and consistency and i might have a fighting chance!

The top end being people that have a good number of 10's AAA'd and the lower end being people that have maybe a few and typically not impressive scores on 11's+

That seems like a pretty big disparity to me. I don't really wanna stay on this subject because I've seen people get booted from tournaments for less than this, but I did want to voice my concern over it. Mostly because it seems like you're not open to any amount of discussion on the matter. This being the first tournament in a while, I feel like discussion is warranted. As it stands though, it's more like "it's my tournament. I'm right, you're wrong. The end."

If I'm alone in this, I'll happily stfu, drop it and go back to whoring my given song. But I don't feel like I am =/

I think D4 sucks... but im not ready to give up yet...

But i swear to god, if I get disqualified from D4 round 1 and come back and do better then most in round 2.. I say its the fuccing song.... I would total do another song instead with only limited time to do it... :S
