Build some skill stepping 2 minute songs first before you try to take on the challenge of stepping a 5+ minute song. The only thing really wrong with stepping marathon songs is that the steps tend to get repetitive as well as the song.

The only thing really wrong with stepping marathon songs is that the steps tend to get repetitive as well as the song.

speaking of song choice people out there need to stop composing music that repeats for several minutes. keep your audience entertained

The songs accepted better be on-beat and all around good simfiles. If they are, then this update will give meaning to my life.

EDIT: All of the really old and bad songs such as Skelley Bones should be re-done also.

All the songs will be redone for 3rd style. I hope but I think they said just 10% of the songs on FFR now will be redone/carried over and 90% new music.

Since this question hasn't been explicitly answered yet, I'll ask again:

Are we allowed to send more than one FMO/FGO file in, or will that be a waste of time, considering that only 14 simfiles will be accepted?

If I have a file that would be VC difficulty for the most part, but has 4 measures of beyond-insanity (don't think racking up any sort of a combo), would it be possible for me to send it...?

I never planned to send it to this batch, but it just turned out that it would be FMO difficulty because of the 4 measures (a bunch of 160 bpm 96ths, 64ths, 48ths, whatnot).

My guess is that the judges will probably reject that for inconsistency. The simfile will probably end up causing frustration to FFR players in the end.
