Re: Yolomania Vol 1 - New Difficult KB Pack [Submissions Open]

And with that we have 51 files!

Thank you everyone for your submissions. Submissions are now closed

Any files submitted after today will be considered for Yolomania Vol. 2 (which we have no idea when that is starting).

From here the plan is basically to work on graphics and set preview times for all the songs. I will also be moving files to the correct difficulty and setting their difficulty to raw NPS. We will be hosting the final difficulty judging room on stepmania online after all of this is done, at which point we will convert the raw NPS scores to their final difficulty rating, which will be simply to add or subtract a few from the NPS score based on how difficult we feel the file is.

That doesn't change what shows on the board list only on the title section of the first post.

Raw NPS for all songs in order from lowest to highest! I measure the time rounded down to the nearest second from the last note in the file. These will be rounded to their nearest whole value anyway.

This is pretty good evidence for why raw NPS is a BS measurement system. Tongues has one of the lowest ratings in terms of NPS, but it has 3 relatively long sections of 236bpm jumpstream.

Re: Yolomania Vol 1 - New Difficult KB Pack [Submissions Open]

make sure you go through all the files made in ddream and straighten out the shifting bpms (not really necessary for shorter files but still might as well)

                  ex: #BPMS:0=132.003,2=131.996,3=132.003,4=131.996,5=132.003,6=131.996,7=132.003,8=131.996,9=132.003,10=131.996,11=132.003,13=131.996,14=132.003,15=131.996,16=132.003,17=131.996,18=132.003,19=131.996,20=132.003;

                  is really just 132

it's more tedious for files that actually have bpm changes but it really should be done and a few large pack releases in the recent past have suffered from a lack of this *coughNthdegreeunplayablebecause5fpsinthelastminutecough*

Yeah Mina I will go ahead and do that. Thanks for reminding me!

Unfortunately some wont be fixable (only one I can think of is Archetype, and thats because it has a lot of bpm changes in general), but I will do this for all that I can.

You need to be careful if you aren't using SM to fix them one at a time. Some charts will drift off if you do it this way.

PS: If mine does that, tell me and I will do it for you.

I will use ddream to fix it and ensure that they don't drift offsync and whatnot. I'm pretty sure you can save as single bpm .sm

                                Alright couple things quick.
All file revisions and/or updates need to be sent to me by Saturday Sept. 7th at 11:59 PM EST

That should be more than enough time to change anything that you want to change.

I edited the second post to now contain a big list of things that need to be done before release. If anyone is planning on sending me graphics let me know immediately. I'm planning on starting to work on graphics in the next couple of days.

For anyone who wants to set their own preview music time please do that and send your revised .sm file by Saturday the 7th at 11:59 PM EST. After this point I may go in and change preview music if I feel that to be necessary or beneficial.

We will set a date for the SMO full pack review room after I have completed graphics and preview music.
