I feel like the osu divisions are more like this (at least for FFR/SM Players):

D7:
D6: Gon
D5: Rebound, Layne
D4: Gundam-Dude, BeatofIke, PROGUY
D3: kjwkjw, Zyphoror, AlexDest, Xiaounlimited (RIP?) Staiain
D2: Anyone who can not pass at least one 4 1/2 star insane map. (Probably most taiko, ctb players and maybe xThai?)
D1: Anyone who can not pass at least one "hard" difficulty map. (nois-or-e for example)

xiao is almost on par with me even though I still have the edge so D4

I'm way too high up for D4 so I should be D5 in your list. over 1,000 SS which include insane SS, almost top 25 in canada, and have shit like shoreline, mendes and a bunch of insane/lunatic FCs with better accuracy than almost everyone else. I can also outbeat Layne on most maps that aren't AR9+ stream dumps and even select maps you can't do. yeah I'm totally D4 right, totally not sandbagging

I give everyone the benefit of the doubt in my list so I don't single out people like you do. it's basically the exact reason dossar is still a D6 player on FFR and doesn't have his own division (bad analogy but will suffice for this purpose). if you and layne eventually become your ideal "D6 tier" (don't lie either, you know damn well you can both match gonz on stuff currently) then absolutely no one will exist in D5 factoring in everyone's current improvement rate, leaving your system imbalanced in comparison to mine

in retrospect, your prerequisites for D1 and D2 are ridiculous because even a "hard difficulty" map can be 5 stars or just as tough as an insane. D1 should exclusively be reserved for people just starting. assuming you use my tier sorting, you also still have D2 and D3 open to bridge the gap between divisions because frankly the current gap between D2 and D3 in your system is too ridiculously unfathomable by the osu standards in this community, rofl

tl;dr your tier sorting is broken the instant you single out a person(s) in their own division and should be more balanced like mine
