This is reminding me of the previous game where I was hard defending Shadow God (and he was wolfing), but I was town and you properly called it. It's just that in your case here, I feel like this is what would make sense to do if you were wolfing with bugkid.

I think the appropriate play here regardless of alignment is to let bugkid speak for themselves.

I mean, I can't compare them because I'm not entirely sure why you were so sure Shadow God was town in the first place . There are times when I will hold onto a thought until later because I don't want to color what someone might say to defend themselves, I just don't happen to find this to be a situation where I think that that's needed, for what it's worth.

It's counterintuitive a bit because It's helping me eliminate a lot of W/W worlds and it's more likely to help me find townies than it is to net me the wolf team. The pairings are more to point out where my attention is at more than being like "yeah I really think it's those two".

I can understand that. I do have some trouble relating to it as a tactic because there's just too many variables this early on, and I think not being able to relate to wanting to use it makes it harder for me to be able to ascertain the intentions with it.

The bolded parts in #117 is because I don't understand why you would use words that hints at hesitating to ask anything.

I've learned to sorta keep my distance from Xel in TWG because I don't usually find directly interacting with him to be productive. If I get a read on him great, otherwise I normally just read around him. (I'm just more sensitive to aggressive language than most people are and I sometimes have a hard time telling when he's joking.) I wasn't considering that as much as I normally would when I asked him about dropping his gimmick early, and then how he responded to that basically reminded me of why I don't usually ask him questions. I don't want him to talk to me the way that he's restraining himself from talking to FFA because of it, but I do disagree with his view on Bugkid and wanted to give my perspective.

basically what I'm saying is most of the time, in my experience, when people have called out slips, it's not a slip

slips genuinely exist, but I think they're much more rare than you think

I would imagine posts like this would be thrown at their wolf partner and not the game thread
admittedly, I have no evidence of how bugkid would use wolfchat, but this post has enough self awareness that it makes bug seem more towny

I get your perspective. It was more of the fact that they posed the question, not the content of the question itself.

It's one of those games where I flip town and you still don't understand my actions after the flip because the plan had nothing to do with how I perceive my own posts.

It's probably a faster win to just vote between the pool of players that has no real opinion
so far.

the first half of this post is starting to feel like deja vu: haku nearly putting up their hands in defeat knowing they might be unable to convince someone (in this case bug) who is voting with what sounds like little chance to move

Do you genuinely don't recognize what I'm doing from my own shoes ? In previous games, I feel like you had a pretty good gut instinct of what I was doing. Seems like I confused you the wrong way here. Just keep in mind that I'm the type who raise red flags when I see players messing around with PR related stuff and yet somehow I did this weird play. You shouldn't be voting me from making people coin flip what I am. You should be voting me if I tried to make someone else claim their role. Yet, you ended up asking me if I'm a role. I see where you're coming from, but generally speaking; you don't want to out a PR D0.

If you think I'm scum then there has to be some sort of agenda or intention behind this that would let me influence the votes of others. Where is that ? There shouldn't be anything related to that. What normally happens D0 is that the wolf team ends up being something annoying like WV / FFA and town just self-destruct slowly because they keep trying to find something that doesn't exist yet. I'm not saying that they're wolfing, but the lack of information / opinion / commentary is usually a popular thematic for the D0 wolf agenda. They even have a good excuse this game. The phases are really short and besides trying to spearhead finding townies, there's not much I can do. Doing controversial plays are often the easy way to approach this.

I feel the same about this post. the first half works, the second half doesn't. a lack of posting from wv/ffa could play well into inactive wolf hands, but that goes for anyone not posting. it's not a "normally happens d0" because that would imply that the inactives are typically the wolves here, but those two can't be causally related

I, for one, think storn has a strong eod presence so far in responding to things while keeping a solving mindset
I know we might not agree on reads, but I think this kind of effort speaks well to a potential town game

Not really important, but I'm pretty sure I just skimmed through his posts too fast and hastily concluded nothing special was going on and he was just on a bad day or something. I actually disagree on holding thoughts here. I think this game needs on the contrary as much thoughts on the table as possible so everyone can draw a decent picture of what's going on. Withholding info from 8 town players hurts town a lot more than hiding it from 2 wolves unless obvious stuff like PR etc.

You don't have to react to it. I'm just announcing on the fly what I'm looking into instead of fully building a read and then posting it. Sometimes people notice things I don't and it helps me build reads better. It's also interesting for posterity. The game may go on and you guys might cross out potential teams and when going back in the thread, you might figure out that one of my pairings made sense. Even though, I wouldn't bet the game on this right now.

I'll just say that Xel knows he's playing a game and that he has no reason to attack players personally. I think the worst cases have to do with him failing to understand why someone else did or didn't do something. The problem in general wasn't the person, just the idea. I never had an issue with him as long as everything made sense. I'm more seeing the more "offensive stuff" as a need to vent more than trying to offend others. idk, maybe I'm just too optimistic when I feel like I can explain what's going on. I also think Xel wouldn't be playing TWG if he genuinely didn't like interacting with people. tldr; bad words doesn't necessarily mean bad intentions. Well, I guess you have your story too so, I won't dig into that here. Gotta live and let live.
