I would like to know how I got D2, as I don't have anything 20+ AAA'd..?
Being like barely even entry level D2 I will never stand any sort of chance against the high D2 players like Minht, Ehhb, Andy and etc.

Don't have to have AAAs, there's a lot looked at when doing placements.

Edit: You do have a 20+ AAA you did it on pembroke in my tourney.

You have a 22 AAA'd.
I don't know D2 cutoffs, but if I had to say then it's prob that AAA, 4-0-0-1 on Glaciate [28], 6-1-0-2 on Wonder World! [29], and 34-0-0-14 on Emerald Hill (Metaljonus Mix) [32] that got you bumped up.

That's how officials work. Yeah there will be people who have *seemingly* no shot of placing well in their division for that particular tournament. Look at low D7. They're fighting against people like Luis, AJ, OWA, etc. There is a decent chance some will never make it in the top 16 in that division, but you can't possibly place them in D6.

But I don't really have anything good over 25. I have two FC's and 3 or 4 SDG's that are 25 and over. One of them is on like a 45 second long song.

I know I'm not ready for D2, just look at your own tournament.

I do see BestMte AAA on Glaciate (28) in D1. Makes me wonder what's the cutoff too. I've also seen people with 150-200 AAAs in D1 but none of them were particularly impressive.

You have 3 goods on a 35, you've gotten scores on other engines that D1 players don't get, you have multiple SDGs in the 20's. I'm sorry but you are not D1 anymore. This is the official tournament, things are slightly different than in a user tournament. User tournaments don't generally get the people who literally can't AAA anything or can only get the really low ones. The official does.

just see getting promoted as a good thing, and that this is a time for improvement. that's how i'm going into this tourney. i want to get as good as i can from it. Instead of focusing on trying to prove yourself better than others, focus on improving yourself, and you will see progress.

Placements are not finished and it could've been a misclick on my part. The dashboard is easy to click wrong numbers on. We wouldn't have let someone with a 28 AAA in D1.

Either that or it's something this person literally just got and we haven't seen yet. But again, this is why we told you all that placements aren't final yet and it's still being worked on. Everyone's getting a recheck for new scores because there have been a few people who have gotten better scores since being placed.

Stop complaining. Each round is a week long. You have plenty of time to improve.

Anyone complaining about Glaciate: Glaciate is massively overrated at 28 - chances are if they have a SDG on it and it's the only thing they have, then them being in D1 is no mistake.

EDIT: this is just blanketing the Glaciate argument; there are a number of D1 players with that being their good score, which goes without saying. A perfect score on it is a bit more concerning, though.
