sorry, but getting top 16 on a D6 field of 64 means a lot more to a person than getting top 16 on a D7 field of 24 (just making up numbers) because they fell short to a much larger percentage of people.

and honestly, I'm really so sick and tired of people complaining that they have no shot in doing well in the tournament -- if you keep going with attitude then you don't deserve to do well because you're already putting it in your mind that you're going to lose. sit down, figure out what isn't working for you, and optimize your play. anyone willing to put forth the effort will improve.

how do you think underdogs felt about the skill curve in the earlier officials when there was only three/four/five divisions? yeah, skill progressed but that didn't mean that there wasn't a huge difference between your favorites, good players, and underdogs. not going to go into more detail about this, but you guys really need just need to TRY, holy shit.
    I couldn't agree more.

and if you try and don't succeed, you know what -- you were placed in the top division; consider that an honor in its own right.

inserting my whole 5th official ordeal and getting placed in top division with only two FMO AAAs and coming out in 5th, receiving 4th prize because Shash was staff, etc
There is so much wrong with this post that I wish I had time to address it fully. Halogen don't get me wrong, I respect your opinion and mean nothing personal against you.

However... uh. I don't know. Anyone want to get this one for me?? I will later if no one does.

Go ahead - it wouldn't be offensive to me since you obviously mean no drama/harm.

In any case, you might not agree with it, but I'm making enough sense that people are agreeing with my point of view (including EzEx -- someone who could potentially place top 8 in D6 out of a six division setup). I'm defending the middle-high D6 players that would end up coolered in a seven division setup when they don't deserve it at that skill level.

if I had it my way, I'd say we consolidate this huge division list and bring it back down to five divisions, like it was in the past. Obviously that won't happen this tournament. I was able to pull off having a five division elimination tournament and my division setup worked to the point of having no complaints. Everything worked out just fine. This huge skill curve in the top level players can be accommodated for without having a seventh division.

I found these interviews a nice way to get to know upcoming D6 players. I'm seeing players like ddrkid improve at an incredibly fast pace.

Still waiting for raw scoring to start playing fgo's. Can't wait to actually be able to get high end scores in this game.
