When I was 3 years old I drowned in my grandmother's pool.

My two cousins were swimming at the time and I thought to myself, "How hard could it be to swim if they're doing it so easily?" So I jumped into the deep end of the pool and immediately sank. I came to about 30 minutes later, but I never found out how long I was actually underwater.

At least it didn't traumatize me, which it should have. I'm an avid swimmer and I've even played for my high school water polo team =).
