Unfortunately for you, I happen to really love the artist Rawthang. Don't know who he is? Well, that's ok, you probably heard of Hidden Lab, right?
Rawthang did a remix of a song called Dragonfire. Sound familiar yet? I think you know the song Dragonfire very well... Maybe you should explain yourself, or you rather I do it for you?

i have an explaination for Privateer, which isnt very good, but its all i can say. He says he knew a man who called himself Jay, and this man Jay took his music and copyrighted it and offered to pay privateer a nomial fee. Now, privateer says this man lied about the whole thing and stole his music. "Jay" then left for germany and never contacted privateer again. however, dragonfire or "fire" has a european, maybe scandinivaion sounding accent in a voice sample, so i dunno what to say. I dont believe him, but at least its physically possible.

Stop lying.
You can find the original version on Hidden Lab's website, which has it released about two years ago. http://hiddenlab.groundmotion.com/ btw, Hidden Lab has been contacted about this fraud, and Synth is awaiting his response. Synth and I are severely disappointed in this breakdown of integrity, and really, I thought raindrops would be the only time we would have to deal with this. We are taking this very seriously, so I suggest once again you show a shred of real character and fess up, Privateer.

I thought it wasn't legit when I heard it. I called it, and people were getting all pissy at me.

You say lying as if I am right now, but clearly I said that what eyespew said wasn't really true. Please disregard what he had said completely.
There's nothing I can say to redeem myself, so the best thing for me to do is to retract everything I said about making the song. You can explain what you want to, but there is nothing either of us could say that would save me, so I give up in the arguement. Done. I can't describe how disappointed I am, right now. It is, as I've said, quite unfortunate that things happen as they did, but it's over with, and the blow to my integrity has been recieved. |

It is best when you are posting on forum with people that work in this industry, that you not lie about what you make and take credit for other peoples work. Especially complete ripoffs of their work. You merely altered the tags and uploaded it as your own. Did you really think it would go unnoticed? It just takes the credibility and chances of anyone ever accepting your work in the future and flushes them down the toilet.
Cheers, Synthlight |
