i say the most prolific people (staff members, well respected senior member, etc..) who are planning on going base the schedule around what works for that group. and the rest of us just deal with it...b/c obviously there will be no date which will work for everyone.

I didn't mention it with regards to alcohol. I wouldn't drink your parents' alcohol or anything.
