Yeah it's fun to do that but when I can just sit back and press my pew button and top meters I'd rather not go through the hassle.
This is true, but at the same time when I play my kitty drood, I notice that I looks like I'm doing a lot more damage. Just swinging and clawing and mauling non-stop. Much more fun than casting a spell every 2 seconds or so.

I joined a pug for FL25 (which I do every week until we can set up a guild run with people who are geared enough to do it) and some idiot decided to try leaving one tower up. Needless to say, it was too much for a pug to do. Got him down to 8 million / 105 though. There was a group running through old BC dungeons and they got BT and Hyjal done before our FL run was over. But, I got to kill Kael'Thas with them. But... it turns out the guild running the old-dungeon event was the asshole guild who got realm-first on everything and all that. And now I know why everyone calls them assholes. When I joined, I mentioned that I hadn't run BC raids before. Then we died and they're like COME ON GUYS YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY USE THE STAFF to which I said "well, that would've been something important to say in vent or explain before the fight" and they're like "BUT THIS IS KT HE'S JUST TRASH NOW" and yeah. So they yelled at me for not knowing what to do ("it's so obvious!"). Lo and behold, we kill him after someone mentions that you have to actually "use" the Legendaries, and 10 other people get the achievement for Black Temple. Hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

If our guild ever did photos when we killed bosses, I'd totally have my pirate hat out like that troll.

My guess is that he does what we have to do. Our guild isn't big enough to run 25s by ourselves, so we get two or three guilds to run with us.

              Re: World of Warcraft

It's not a pug. Did you read my last sentence? If they're anything like us, they have been running progression with those guilds for a while now.

What would you do if you only had 10 raiders and wanted to run 25 man content without expanding your guild?

              a) Pug people.
              b) Run with other small guilds for a while and see if you like them.

              Hmmmmmmmmm.

We've been running with the same four guilds through naxx 25 every week and now we're about ready to move into Ulduar. Most of the guilds have a 10-man group that goes to Ulduar, so we all know the fights and have been getting some new gear at least. AKA, not a pug.

Our guild one day dreams to pug an Ulduar 25 because we have to. We're starting to learn who can and cannot play from our pugs so hopefully we can get these good players to come with us on Ulduar 25. We've already done it with Emalon 25.

                  Re: World of Warcraft

Yeah it's not a pug. We're a raiding group not a raiding guild. We have a set group of people but no one has the leave their guilds. We use an in game channel as our "guild chat."

We operate like a guild with applications and stuff. Not just anyone can join in on our raids. It's actually pretty hard to get into our group. Here's the description from the site.

Welcome to the Twisting Nether Raiders!
We are a coalition of people across the server created in order to raid end game instances. We are a friendly group looking for equally friendly and talented individuals to delve into Ulduar and beyond. One of the most appealing qualities of TNR is the fact that you do not have to leave your beloved guild and friends nor do you have to have a "hardcore" play schedule to start raiding with us.

Contrary to popular belief the world doesn't revolve around your answers to questions.

Though thanks for answering kagome, that's a neat idea that I haven't seen put into practice on my server

I like that concept.. I have too many friends in my guild to ditch it, but they don't do any raids past OS 10 ._.

Damn pugs ruined our day. I don't need to explain much more than that.

To get over our frustration we decided to just destroy Emalon since we finally won Wintergrasp. Turns out they changed the Overcharge to immediately increase the add's size. It was a joke. Not a single one even got to 5 stacks. And for the first time ever, neither of the bosses dropped useless stuff! I got pants for my heal suit, which was a pleasant surprise after such a terrible night. Then we roflstomped EOE and we're just hoping our pug for 25FL doesn't suck ass tomorrow.

Ok I lied I will go into it.

I wrote up a macro for FL pugs, since we don't have a dedicated raid group for it yet. It says to the entire raid:

                              Group 1: Siege Engine DRIVERS
                              Group 2: Siege Engine PASSENGERS
                              Group 3: Demolisher DRIVERS
                              Group 4: Demolisher PASSENGERS
                              Group 5: Motorcycle DRIVERS

People still managed to get in their wrong vehicles. We constantly told them in vent and in raid chat where they were supposed to be, and they just could not figure out what was wrong. Several people (about a dozen) died from trying to swap vehicles before we engaged FL due to choppers attacking the raid at inopportune times. When we finally got to engage the boss, we find out some idiot talked to the hard-mode NPC and activated hard mode. We gave up on the raid.
