    That still seems sorta silly.

I mean, whatever, I don't have t7.5 yet, of course, but it's one thing to have a tanking set and a dps set, but a whole nother story when you're a hunter, because you don't really have to swap out a lot of gems for surv/bm/marks to succeed.

Even though survival IS 500+ dps more than marks, which is a pretty big margin. Especially once you get those tight steady shot rotations.

    I wish I had my t7.5 ;-;

You shouldn't talk down to people you don't know anything about, acting like you know more and then try to show them up in the forum. That's how you get absolutely no where.

      Re: World of Warcraft

One tank I ran with recently suggested that he'd eat the Nova since he could take it and the rest of us run out (as I mentioned before). The problem with this is that the battle re-engages too soon and everyone running back takes severe damage before they get there. When you wait for the speedy Loken to make it to your group after his Nova, you're all in position and ready to go.
If the tank and healer are both good enough, everyone just stacks right on Loken so the damage-for-distance aura basically does nothing, and at AoE time, everyone but the tank moves -just far enough away- to avoid the nova, then piles right back on again.

The only thing that can cause any problems is the arcing DoT, but you actually have to be quite close for it to jump, so whoever it hits moves a little ways back out from Loken, they take slightly more damage from the aura, but the DoT won't jump to anybody.

The nova only does about 14k on heroic before any resistances, so any reasonably well-geared tank is going to be more than capable of just eating it (I party buff up to about 32,000, I raid buff up to about 35,000) and if you have someone like me (Pally tank) My response to nova is "cast a holy light, resume tanking" and it's barely even a problem, and the healer can concentrate on keeping the rest of the group up from the aura damage.

If i do go survival then im going to have to get another set of T7.5 gear to socket in agi instead of AP.
Hunters don't even have multiple types of 7.5 gear, all you need to do is re-gem/chant and you're all set. Considering the relative cost in terms of time spent to go and get another FULL SET of 7.5 gear versus the cost of regemming, it's ridiculous to think of re-doing the whole thing.

If your plan is to switch to survival, switch to survival. You won't need to worry about anything like the dual-spec stuff until 3.1.0 and who knows how long that will actually end up being. For that matter, I'd assume most hunters will make a pvp-dualspec rather than a second pve build, but then, my server has a very high huntard to hunter ratio, so my guild has actually no hunters at all in the top end, so what do I know?

        Re: World of Warcraft

Yeah, just with Fort on, I have 31k health, so I usually don't even notice the damage before it's been healed up.

That's where chain heal really comes in handy.

        EDIT:

        Holy crap.

        Hodir

        * HP - 35,699,200 (Heroic Mode)
        * Normal melee attacks for 25k damage on a well-geared warrior
        * 8 Adds trapped in blocks of ice are around him, you can break the blocks (40,000 HP) to have them help you. They will randomly drop Toasty Fires throughout the fight.
        * His aura called Biting Cold is using the same mechanics as Intense Cold during the fight against Keristrasza, it stacks up and damage increase over time. Moving will reset the stack. (This is also affected by the Toasty Fire, see below)
        * Hodir casts "Flash Freeze" (9 seconds cast time), a spell that freezes the entire raid in blocks of ice.
        * He will randomly spawn Icicles, they will create patch of ices on the ground as they drop. Standing on the ice when Hodir casts Flash Freeze prevents from being encased in a block of ice.
        * You can also prevent Biting Cold and Freeze by staying next to a Toasty Fire in the room, however it will be removed by Flash Freeze. Warms nearby friendly creatures, preventing the effects of Freeze and Biting Cold, and increasing Spirit by 4. Toasty fire can be extinguished by falling ice or powerful frost magic.
        * After Flash Freeze, Hodir will gain "Frozen Blows" and deal 70% reduced physical damage but each attack deals 40,000 additional frost damage.

On my battlegroup, alliance sucks at PvP... But at times we manage to do this:

We won this in about 3 minutes, I was top on damage, honor, killing blows and honor kills and least amount of deaths

As far as your DPS goes, there shouldn't be THAT big of a different in DPS. Sure SV dishes out the most atm, but It's only be a slim margin, especially for MM (It's a bigger margin for BMs like me). It could be your rotation, or pet. Are you using a raptor? That also could be an issue.
I have a cat. And the reason i want another set of T7.5 is that SV benefits from agi more than MM. And ya i have my set socketed with the 32 ap gems. But i guess im fine with my set atm, my set will only get replaced with the T8 from ulduar.

So after looking at the boss list...

Why are we fighting good guys?

Thorim is a good guy. You help him by killing Loken.

Freya is a good girl. You help her push back the scourge.

Hodir is a good guy. You help his sons.

Thorim was kidnapped and I guess brainwashed by Loken.

Prolly the same thing for the rest.

                      EDITSU!:

It was announced on Feb 17, 2009 that Thorim is to be a raid encounter in the upcoming Ulduar dungeon.[1] Once Thorim is defeated he is saved from the corruption and ports out to likely aid the players against Yogg-Saron later.

You guys should put spoiler tags on those. It's the one type of patch notes I don't read, anything with lore in it. Hopefully there's going to be some kind of decent answer. As far as I know, there's no extremely awesome book to utterly confuse you.

Blizzard loves apostrophes. It's pretty sad, actually.

I understand that they use it for all troll-related things, but it really shouldn't be anywhere else. It's just annoying.

Um...what the hell do apostrophes have to do with that? Nyarlennytep doesn't even have an apostrophe. Also, C'thun and Yogg'Saron have nothing to do with trolls either. Was that just an entirely seperate criticism of blizzard?
