Let's be honest; we all saw Sonic coming. Of all third-party characters, not only is he the most wanted/popular, but he's easily the most accessible due to the whole Nintendo-Sega thing.
In other news, only one track could've possibly been better than Live and Learn for Sonic's theme song, and that would be his actual character theme song from SA2. I forget the title though
Judging by the fact that arguably the most monumental update to-date was released on the same day that the game release date was changed, it's safe to assume that the release will be at least somewhat later than originally planned. January 24th is the Japanese release date, which means the American release will be close to that time as well (due to the massive worldwide popularity of SSB and the Wii). I'm betting on a near-Christmas release, which would optimize sales in America. In Japan, such a thing isn't necessary since there are far fewer Christians in the country, so they could have a later release date without any hit to sales.
But if it isn't a near-Christmas release, then I'm betting on a release after January 24th.Comment

Why do we really care about when they decide to release the game? If they need the time to perfect it, which we know that they will use, then we should give it to them. I don't want this game to be rushed and ruined.

Anyway, the delay for North America is confirmed. We won't be getting our Brawl on until February.
I need to order a different game for Present Day.

Nintendo makes us hard one day then makes us limp the next.
I now have no reason to buy a Wii till February 10th.

The release date is still officially December 3 because it still has that on the OFFICIAL website. As zidart said, it has on the website TBD (that means to be announced for the "smart ones" that think its been delayed). I will only believe the delay once it's on the website.
