I could be wrong, but aren't the fights the same every time? So if you had a really good memory you can nail it every time.

I didn't see the run, so I could be underestimating it.

There's RNG in their patterns. Blindfolded, you react to pattern changes to via sound only.

Super Punch Out blindfolded was more hyped but I know that game really well and there is really only tough RNG in Super Machoman, Narcis Prince, Hoy Quarlow and Nick Bruiser (he got AMAZING luck in that fight). With more practice, the run would be piss-easy with the exception of the above fights which are more forgiving than bad RNG in MTPO. The other punch out has much more brutal mechanics so I have to give Sinister a bit more credit than Zallard for getting that far

I give them both huge credit either way though.

I mean even IF the game was 100% no RNG scripted, it would still be a hype as hell run. Imagine playing Simon Says perfectly for an hour, still hard as hell just to memorize everything and do it precisely. The fact there is significant RNG just makes it even more impressive.


Anyway, Zelda Metroid blocks hype ^_^

Hmmm, Pogeyman SoulSilver on now. These runs have never been my favorite to watch.
Great games to play yourself, but just like the big RPG runs (Final Fantasy why), they get a little tedious for watching.

I'm hyped for the Punch-Outs and the Zelda and Metroid blocks this evening!

F Zero X is going to be godlike (just as crazy a game as GX to watch, in my opinion) but it's a shame it will be at like 7 in the morning.

If they hadn't demanded that he not stick with his standard of giving everyone one-letter names (usually he names the character "I" and the rival "U" and all Pokemon get nicknamed "I") that would have been WR. Ah well, 2:55:55 ain't shabby, and naming the rival "Cancer" was a nice touch.
