Re: TWG 210: Vanilla Ice Cream in Sprite [GAME THREAD]
Regarding the 2nd paragraph, that also got me thinking of how the lack of blue roles might effect wolves (aside from the obvious). I guess one thing is that wolves won't need to dedicate any brain power or mental energy to trying to figure out who the blue roles are. Whether or not translates to wolves being able to better blend in or perform better, I'm thinking it might help a bit, but the degree or amount it would help I'm not sure.D0: 13
D1: 11
D2: 9
D3: 7
D4: 5 (24/24 phases start)
D5: 3
If I did the math right, the wolf team wins by having 4 out of the 10 town players be voted off. The town team win by voting out 3 wolves and preventing 4 town players being voted out.
I think that town having no secrets has the potential to make the fundamental secret of who knows who the wolves are already, easier to uncover. Everyone is going to have a more similar frame of reference than usual and town can be more open with each other without incurring the usual risks. Will we see radical honesty transform TWG? I suspect that the standard of posting that wolves have to be consistently capable of to actually be trusted in this one should be higher.
It depends partly on how the randomisation exactly fell, but the ten names not on the wolf team should still be a fairly intimidating list regardless. How many town names do they already fear cannot be one of their four to win?
I think town can make this a hard game to be a wolf in, especially for the later days when process of elimination is powerful. That comes down to things like creating information, to pressure, to commitment. Whatever can be done to not make it easy for them to get their 4 to win.
Statistically speaking, at some stage, it will look like the town are thinking and talking about all the wrong things. At those times, it will feel like it is a good game to be a wolf in. Wolves will be able to look smart and look like they are helping, by telling those unfortunate townies who don't already have the answers why they are probably wrong about what they are wrong about. With hindsight, with process of elimination, I think the good times can actually come back to haunt them in the end.
I'm not sure what to make of the 4th paragraph. I'm confused on the "make information" bit and what that is supposed to entail, especially in a vanilla game where information is limited.AMA: http://ask.fm/benguino

It's probably just a reading comprehension issue on my end, but I keep reading this like "he won't be mad 'cause he knows the entire game".
That post was aimed at me so, I'm like, is this happening 'cause he knows I would likely read it wrong in a different way ?
idk if you'd go that far at this point in the game as wolf.
Probably overthinking at usual.

I'll probably need to vote somewhere before the EoD tomorrow 'cause irl friends have a birthday a bunch of hours before EoD and it's going to ruin it for me 'cause I won't be around when it matters.
Can't solve decently with this little information.

Re: TWG 210: Vanilla Ice Cream in Sprite [GAME THREAD]
It simplifies things on both sides in that respect. I know I have had games where too much of the day gets spent with people not being on the same page about mechanics and mysteries. Like I spent a whole game day two days ago trying to get the two blues to stop sussing each other and then you do not have as much bandwidth to actually look for the last red. Normally end of days early in the game are extra stressful for me because I do not want to be voting out a blue role and they often act sus in my opinion. So I am curious to find out if I can self actualize a bit without that layer of anxiety in play for once.Regarding the 2nd paragraph, that also got me thinking of how the lack of blue roles might effect wolves (aside from the obvious). I guess one thing is that wolves won't need to dedicate any brain power or mental energy to trying to figure out who the blue roles are. Information to me would include votes obviously, and really any kind of game-related discussion or interactions. Umm, I was going to say more because you are trying to remember how to play, but I think I will end up just showing it as we go on and I think there can be a slight disadvantage to me saying what I may be looking for before it happens.twg quotes here - https://listography.com/starxcrossedComment

Tbh it was just a gag line I threw out there like my famous deal I give to the wolf team once I feel like I've solved the game.
But I got an interesting response from it so I guess it wasn't a waste========

Yeah, I'm pretty confident you've said this before as town as well.
I guess it's what happens if I stare at this thread with only 3 pages for too long.
Don't mind it I guess or at least I don't think it's the way to go about this game.

All the phase changes are at 4am here and I am not particularly a night owl.
I slightly like you both from this page I think.twg quotes here - https://listography.com/starxcrossedComment

TOP OF THE MORNING BITCHES AND GENTLEMEN

To me the go-to ice cream float is a small bowl of ice cream, then you add Monster Zero Ultra (the white one). There are other flavors and they all win at this a lot, but the original Zero Ultra is the best. If you don't like energy drinks, Crush Cream Soda is also marvelous for thisForgot where I put my old sig lolComment

All my EoDs here are at 10pm, but I finish working 2 hours later. I also have a party to attend tomorrow, but I somehow assumed EoD was this saturday when it's sunday. So, I should be here for the first one at least.
I don't think I'll be able to lean you one side or another alignment wise until I see enough interactions that helps me take a stance. I'm just not sure how balanced you're supposed to keep your game in a scenario where there's no blues. There's like no one to protect, it's just a matter of getting everyone on the same wave length. Even bad interactions can change a game.
The hard part might be filtering bad interactions from wolfy interactions in a game like this.

I guess I think that is always part of TWG, is that weird is not always wolf. Maybe the stakes are a little higher with it this time. Not sure if that is the lens you are exactly looking at it from.twg quotes here - https://listography.com/starxcrossedComment

Re: TWG 210: Vanilla Ice Cream in Sprite [GAME THREAD]
I'm usually better at building trust with players that are making multiple mistakes that can be explained reasonably. When a player is more structured and organized even if it's good intentions, it becomes more difficult to perceive them because that structure is like also acting as a shield against reading them. I understand your intentions to give good advice, but I have no clue how you perceive others right now so, it's making you too difficult for me to read at this point.
Well, it's like page 3-4. That's completely normal. I'm just saying it's the vibe I'm getting and I tend to vote what I understand the least as a priority unless something terrible happens. That being said, I don't really see what you could be doing about it. I guess with enough time/interactions, it will sort of solve itself.
