I wouldn't presume that. Just because the majority of us had Molly on our list never means that's who Boomer shoots. He's free to aim at whomever he desires

The only mechanical gain here from Boomer claiming the shot is for the blocker in case they target the same person.
It would mean that this person is specifically not the roleblocker because the roleblocker doesn't wear a vest and would die.

This is a win-win. IF Boomer shoots another vest we get ourselves a wolf. If he was blocked and tells us who he shot we work around that shot and figure out why they aren't dead.

So like when you said this, when you said like "that goes without saying" was it like "she probably is one of the people who got shot" or like "without a doubt that's who got shot"?

If we ignore the lynch, Vigi can get roleblocked infinitely. The only way to trump that would be for blocker/vigi to stack the roleblocker.
So, the bulletproof wolf is not even part of the equation here I think.

That's the weird reality of a role that can keep targeting the same person.

In practice, we can just ignore all the mechanical stuff and try to:

A) Find wolfy things.
B) Figure out if we can filter out more townies.
C) Try to find a potential 2nd wolf for the Vigi
