For me personally it's fear. I REALLY loathe myself for this but I'm terrified of my thoughts being rejected and the position that I'm in is the result of me being too afraid to speak up and voice my opinion on things. I don't know if anyone else has had this happen; but for me, as town it REALLY fucking sucks.

and i think a lot of us are insecure about how we play twg (uhhhhhh, me). if you think this environment is too rough, you should try a the syndicate game with me sometime. that was the politest twg community i've ever seen i got in trouble for language LOL

but yeah it's not just you and you're not bad, or exceptionally bad, or anything like that. keep ya chin up and fite kid/adult/you're older than me lol

If you don't share concerns, it's not going to end well in this game.
Players -need- to read you in order to solve you.
You also -need- to read others and try to get a feel of where they're at.
You have to fight the game, not the players.

Unfortunately, from my perspective, I feel like you're struggling with something called "wolf pressure" from knowing your alignment.

If that's not what the fear is coming from, I'll be happy to eat my words in postgame and be like "oh okay, Shadow is not like what I thought".

I just feel like you have similar "paranoia" vibes as me, but I don't understand why you don't make solving attempts with words that shows the emotional feel of that fear.

In the post where you self voted, I couldn't really feel emotion while reading it. It felt it was more like an objective strategy than you really believing this.

That's one of the reasons while I cannot reconcile your post into being towny.

Yeah syndicate is nice and they've got some heavy hitters too like MacDougall and JJJ

They have a lot of role heavy games though lol

i dont recall a jjj but i played with macdougall; he aws a funny dude

and yeah the game i played there was an insane multiball, but there were NO ROLE CLAIMS ALLOWED it was really fun

I'm more talking about the fact that people are saying "We think you might be a wolf, give us reads or it will end badly for you" and then he gave reads that don't include enough wolves to make sense.

It feels like, given how he's talking about his play experience here, that there's at least a chance that he's a wolf that is just not confident enough in trying to sell towns as wolf reads, and not brazen enough to include any of his actual fellow wolves in his wolf reads.

It's not a vote I'm asking anybody else to pick up. It's pressure I'm applying to him to get him to either go out on a limb and be willing to make some reads instead of just clocking basically everybody as town which is like...safe in terms of making people like him, but not helpful in terms of helping us find and kill wolves.

Realistically I like to look at a lot of things from a 'play by play' perspective and try to reason over things that people have missed, things that people don't talk about (topic just gets dropped or skipped over and moves along), and conversation points that are typically steered away from (for e.g., say I put pressure on someone, they ask me about elsewhere, they make a good case for it, I go elsewhere, and they start being completely uninvolved on that case).

Good example is Roundbox and this is the motherfucking fourth time I'm asking why y'all like to green read him. What stands out. Is there a similarity with something else that you like. etc.etc I've asked this before.

Probably not something to do mid-game in the thread but maybe post game or in dead chat if I die, be nice to know what it is about my gameplay that is apparently so weird or awful or dumb that so many people aren't reading me at all. Like, I feel like I'm one of the most active people, almost all my posts are content and not shitposting, and I'm doing my best with the tools I have to try and solve the game for town, and like...multiple experienced players are posting read lists that I'm just absent from.

Like...what is it I'm doing/not doing that is leaving me in null/no-read/confused and not town? I'm trying, but it's getting upsetting how often my theorizing is ignored or dismissed and then nobody seems to draw anything useful from what I'm doing.

you're playing really safe, which is why i think you could be a deep wolf but otherwise you're null for me

that's a good twg persona to keep up it'll make it impossible to hunt you as wolf

though talking a shit ton about mechanics is one of my wolf tells but from observing you on the forums it ain't the most surprising thing
