Seems like Xel voting Roundbox was meme vote based on Roundbox's response.
Shado intentions are unclear too with his game overall.
I think we should partially hypocop like MML started.
I'm confused FFA was the 2nd wagon rather than Antori based on posts too.

would be a decent thing to ask the ffa voters, but some mix of roundbox+raeko+me were arguing against lynching antori whereas no one's going to lose any sleep at any time over lynching ffa. doesn't mean i'm happy with antori's post count though or nonresponse to things later on yesterday

you can go find roundbox's read and when he comes back into thread talking about where he wants to go for a vote, at least

so my free relaxing weekend turned into a work weekend. thought I'd be able to phonepost a little at work but that didn't turn out too well. being on a strict salary also means I don't get paid extra for weekend work or overtime, so it's super lovely.

anyway, I'ma take this chance to spend some time on game.

not sure if anyone will be up at this hour but please ping me if you are. skimming thread showed me that people unsurprisingly want a little more from me. I know I haven't been up to par this game with the absences and all, but I'm hoping the plus side to that is that I may have drawn an opportunistic wolf or two to pin their hopes on lynching me this phase. Looking forward to checking that.

it's exactly because I played that game with you that I asked that. The situation last game was only possible because of OOTC allowing people to claim privately to Backpack. without OOTC, any counter-claims are done publicly within the thread. and it's just a very different situation when things are being done all in thread, there is way less pressure on the individual PRs and I thought that's what you were talking about in your post.

I guess I just don't see the same parallels as you do, but that's OK. It's not really something I want to focus on and I find it weird that you want to focus on it so heavily.

In this post, between the "but that's ok" and the "I find it weird", which one were you leaning towards more?

When you said "weird", did you mean from an alignment indicative standpoint or did you think he was town and just being too focused on the last game?

In general, I read different people differently. I also think I learned a lot during the trailer park game both in private conversations and voice chats. A lot meaning both about people's personalities and their playstyles. Some stuff seems obvious in retrospect but I think it took a year of not playing with you all for it to sink in once we did play again.

Before the trailer park game, I would've answered a "how do you make your reads?" question with "I try and analyze intention in posts and compare the possibilities of each alignment making that post"

NOW, after that game and subsequent lTWGs, I think it's more "for each personality, I try and picture that person sitting there and typing that post as each alignment and try to feel which voice sounds/flows more genuine(ly)."

Sounds like there isn't much difference, but I think the nuance is HUGE

last thing on this. some people dismiss metareads as trash because meta is constantly changing. they aren't wrong that meta constantly changes, but it's super helpful to know someone and be able to analyze them based on what you know of them.

Reason there goes back to people playing differently. Take FFA and myself, for instance. Wholly different playstyles. Wholly different posting styles. Wholly different reading styles. But when it's all said and done, it's our knowledge of how each other operates that's enabling me to read him through all the nonsense and flippant posts. Whereas, before the hours of conversations we'd had, I was asking for help reading him because he was so unlike anyone else that I had to keep drawing a blank when trying to figure out where his posts were coming form
