for people saying they might have lynched me this game, this came to me in hindsight:



imagine the confidence I would have had to fake claim gunsmith at the start of day like that

given sunfan's flip and the fact that I named flashflash as the gun recipient, I would have to have 100% certainty that I blocked the gunsmith that night or prayed that the gunsmith sent it to sunfan

that's such a narrow window for the risk to pay off (aka me failing there = instant auto for town) that I would never take it as a wolf. I'd rather just throw posts at people like I did anyway at the end of phase in the thunderdome

We talked about this in deadchat early on when funny claimed.

You're not wrong, but it's not as ballsy as you make it seem.

With you being wolf, Sunfan flipping town leaves only 2 people gunsmith could be: FG or raeko. The only thing you'd need to conclude is that FG/ raeko did not send gun to each other and you're good to go claim GS. Considering everyone was talking about FFA being clear and sunfan being secondary clear, gun is almost never leaving those two. Especially because gunsmith can't send it to anyone else without outing themselves (1 GS, 1VT, 1 woof, and FFA) or sending it to a wolf. Sending it to anyone else outs gunsmith or gives wolves a free dayshot.

So with sunfan flipping VT it's not an unlikely play to claim first knowing that gun is staying within him and FFA.
