Re: TWG CLXXIX: The Third FE Mystery Game Game Thread
"Hi there, I know you intimately"FFA
A lot of posts. But way more content than I expected; the sheer volume of posts and the flow of the thread caused it to get drowned out for me I guess.
Amidst a lot of casual content type posting, there's this. Even if it's made up, it's kind of impressive that someone would straight up commit to reads on everyone that early in a 24 player game. I don't really agree with the leads, but actually saying something about everyone indicates investment, because any question would need to be answerable. Admittedly, just the read means a reason can be sort of reverse-engineered, but this post is either town or a very comfortable wolf.
But seriously, no.
Again, I like the clarity of thought here, because if nothing else it's traceable. If FFA were to suddenly read “zenith charu Raeko blind funny or mml” all hard town, that would be odd. Having lynch and no lynch groups suggests some degree of world building—but it still is annoying that there's no reason for it. Similarly, the willingness to sheep Backpack is a bit troubling, because it feels more like a wolf strat than a town strat. “Oh, they're town, so why would a wolf ever commit to non-wolf behavior?” But being town doesn't make Backpack correct or incorrect; it just means they're operating in good faith. And abandoning one's own positions when things get squishy is problematic, because it seeks to reduce responsibility for one's own vote.
And yet I still like this post overall, because FFA isn't shy about expressing their ideas. It's clear who he does and doesn't suspect, and why he might vote outside of his wolf range (e.g. to save his no lynch group). Although his is where the lack of reasoning is a problem though, because wolves do have info, and it would be easy to mix town and wolves in both Lynch and No Lynch groups, select a town from the Lynch Team at random, and have the “well I was wrong there, but right here” as an excuse later.
FFA definitely doesn't like Charu in this game.
I get a little suspicious with these kinds of posts since they're almost too self-assured.
Not sure I agree with this, but there's no question it's internally consistent—Charu and FFA have been at each other all game.
FFA's most recent post is legitimately the most interesting one they've made the whole game. It speaks truth: 24 players and 185289423423 posts means there's a ton of white noise, and I appreciate someone actually being honest that there might not actually be an “obvious choice” to them. But it comes across as a little strange given FFA's earlier posts—committed reads on everyone, clear scum, null, and town pools. I'm not sure if that's an attempt to soften those reads, or to back away from an aggression that doesn't fit their current world. Null, maybe slightly leaning town because the Charu fight is at least internally consistent, and given their high activity levels seems like a dangerous battle to choose.

What I've learned about you is in that post. But by all means, continue to ignore it, Bishop.it's based on sound logic, imo
the problem is sound logic goes out the window when we're arguing about me
it's harsh, but it's true
the real issue is that precarious is suddenly ignoring everything he's already learned about me to make me look like the tastiest lynch bait Of All TimeComment

I don't see the coorelation. The block of text your quoted is equally thinking what you're doing is strange and could be viewed as a "comfortable wolf". All this text does different is commend you for your apparent bravado.

Can we please kill ffa. He's the most anti town player in this game. This is stupid, it shouldn't be a debate.Originally posted by thesunfanabsolutely I want to vomit on your face irlOriginally posted by choofIt was like trying to throw logic at a fuckin brick wall lmaoOriginally posted by choofwhats more dense, a black hole or an icyworld fileOriginally posted by CelirraI've never been so disappointed by a man from Alabama than I am right nowComment
