First semester senior year of B.A. Economics
Got all my requirements done so I'm just taking 8-10 classes that seem cool for my senior year. Pretty chill and interesting.

What's less chill and interesting is applying to grad schools and/or getting a job. Bleh.


I do really enjoy school, for what that's worth. I have a good group of friends, my studies are suitably challenging and interesting, and I'm sad I only have a year left.



For those that know me, yes, I did start college in fall 2009 and will be finishing undergrad in 2018. Life takes complicated paths, sometimes.

Hope you are enjoying it, seems like a nice place for PhD in a math/CS field.

I print and design stuff for schools at work, does that count?

Graduated with an advanced diploma in graphic design back in 2013 (equivalent to an associate's in U.S.). Been working in the printing industry since 2014, but my position is still as a graphic designer / design specialist.

Street parties are almost as ghastly as midterms are. House parties win every time.

Software Engineering is also an enjoyable field (although it does have its frustrating moments) when you have a good company culture and mission. It also can be used outside of work for personal side projects.

I think a good number of users here are Computer Science majors?

I want you to listen very carefully to what I have to say

Please, for the love of God don't make the same mistake I did. Please, actually try and do a good job in school. Go to your classes, learn the shit, enjoy the experience. It doesn't have to be school either. Supplement yourself and do what you wanna do. Find a path you want to take and FUCKING TAKE IT. I made the worst possible choice and did basically the opposite of that. I didn't listen to my parents when they said the same thing. I was an idiot. And now I'm not doing anything that makes me happy and I constantly have to try and slap a smile in my face and say "I'm fine, why?"

Think about what you want, and do what it takes to get there. I'm sure that you'll thank yourself in a couple years, but that's just conjecture since I can't speak from experience.

I really like and respect all of you fine folks here and I would hate myself if I didn't at least try to get the point across. It's wicked fun to slack off and do nothing. But its honestly even better when you've worked your ass off and got to enjoy it because you earned it.

Keep it up, guys and gals. You're worth more than you think

I don't miss dal at all honestly. lol

Those parties were way too much for my tastes. Like half of that campus are functional alcoholics. Though it might be even worse at some of the other universities in NS.
