Re: TWG CLXVIII: Capitalism [Game Thread]
unless Alibaba comes up with some nice stuff I'm thinking lynching in the order of
Alibaba/Marlboro
Facebook
Microsoft/wells
That's a 1-5, but 1/2 & 4/5 can be intertwined.
The effectiveness of the lynch directs my kill, I won't kill in this order. The less everyone knows the better.Comment

Re: TWG CLXVIII: Capitalism [Game Thread]
Kinda where I'm at right now, I think there was a doctor save last night, and that the acquisitioner moved from China Mobile to one of us. It makes no fucking sense for China Mobile to ever be wolfkilled, (though Google's hypothesis basically has to be correct unless there's a lot of cocaine being passed around in wolfchat) and I think last night is a pretty reasonable night for there to be a doctor save, thus hiding the other "kill."
I'll be making two separate reads lists, one of them contains town and wolves, the other will be who I think the acquisitioner most likely is currently, but I won't be making that list until a few people answer some questions of mine.
I am currently quite positive I know the identities of IBM, Google, Shell, Starbucks and McDonalds. IBM and Starbucks I am quite positive were not acquired based on stuff that has happened between us, and I will be determining whether or not Google, Shell or McDonalds was acquired in the remaining time that I am here today.
I am reasonably sure that I know who Marlboro and Facebook are, I find it rather unlikely that Marlboro was acquired, and I don't think Facebook was acquired, but I will be testing this as best I can later.
I have a guess as to who Microsoft is, but I'm not very confident its right (Honestly, I'd be surprised if I was right). I don't really know how to test them reasonably, but I do /think/ that they don't come into today yelling about how bad we've been playing because I was wrong about the acquisitioner mechanics if they are WalMart. I don't really know what to do if Microsoft is acquired. WalMart was a classy seeming player, so maybe they do come into today and fix that mechanics misassumption? IDK.
By the way, because I think WalMart is classy, I don't think he would acquire an account and go UTR by having like 10 posts, I think that that's not how they roll, but that is, of course, an assumption. Assuming China Mobile was acquired, their posts were much better than China Mobile's previous posts, at least in my opinion.
I have no goddamn idea who GE is anymore, I have a list of people it could be, but I'm not even sure that the list has the person's account on it. I obviously have no idea who Alibaba is, but I'm rather certain we can rest easy on them not being acquired at the moment.
Something to look at that I think might be good is that WalMart was actually quite talkative. Like, really, really talkative. One of the top posters of the phase and was saying smart enough things to join me in the top-town tier of Apple's reads list. This means that this player is competent. This player knows how to play this game. In some instances, I think that this hurts him, but most of the time, this player is going to be able to impersonate players very well. I think that Starbucks language analysis was quite good, and in fact it determined the two players that had been replaced out, including a very impressive determination on Marlboro. This means WalMart has been actively and intelligently dodging having the same language on the first acquisition, which is really, really scary. That or they got lucky, but I don't think that's the case.
Basically, we need to proceed assuming that the acquisitioner is a really competent player. We also need to decide whether or not we are going to try to lynch a wolf or the acquisitioner today.Comment

Re: TWG CLXVIII: Capitalism [Game Thread]
basically what i gather from your list is that you feel safe about the people you know barring a couple exceptions, and want to test those you don't/haven't tested in a while
google, shell, mcds, me, and maybe ge.
from that list i'm pretty sure i know who mcds is (same as you), and i have an idea who ge is based upon something said earlier. other than that, google and mcds elude meComment
