                You've misunderstood what I said, so I'll try rephrasing it. If my reads seem to line up with other people's for similar reasoning to them, I'm not about to waste a ton of time hunting down alternate reasoning just to seem more legit.

                                My issue here is that you'd only be hunting down alternate reasoning, not alternate reads. See where I'm coming from?

                                                    I don't often alter my reads for things that have happened in the past. If I make the read, it's because I'm already convinced it's correct based on the information I have at the time. That's why my reads always come in later than I plan on, because I'm self-vetting them. I'm willing to change if new information comes, but I'm not about to reread information looking for another needle that I don't see a need for.
