Yeah it was kinda tough for me to find a proper place to fill in what I had to say but with fluff posts taking up pages it wasn't easy as I initially thought it would be to say something useful

I think using this for PoE is a very bad idea, but here's how it looks in terms of checks simplified:

The checks are of limited usefulness, since only one person can actually be the seer. But at the least, it allows the seer to put an actual result out without being immediately outed, and it forces everyone to sort of account for their result. The actual benefit of this whole exercise probably won't materialize until later in the game, but that doesn't mean it won't turn out to help later on.

Forcing everyone to account for their result isn't a benefit. The reason it's done is to have all results available whenever the seer is NKed, but I get your point.

That's one of the main benefits of high benefit posters like Haku or Charu. No matter what is being said, even if it doesn't actually help solve the game, it provides a platform for conversation, which at least gets people talking and active.

Anyway, I'm going to be out again for a bit. Back in about two hours.

I'll be at work til 11ish, but I'll be checking on-and-off throughout the day. It shouldn't be as busy as yesterday, but if worst comes to worst I'll be sure to post a couple times during the day and cast my vote by EoD.

It benefits Town and Wolves equally imo.

The only thing that makes the game progress is quality content.

Yesterday I spent the entire day pointing fingers at every town and I eventually came to the conclusion that we had to at least have "one active wolf".

I was really disappointed, not only for being wrong, but at how there was no one to find in the active users in the first place.

Therefore I'm forced to sit back and keep watch on low content users even if it means creating a ghost town.

Cause I don't want to have to remember the checks. If you're asking why I care about the checks in the first place, that's because it's probably a decent strategy to avoid lynching players who have been checked unless you have a decent scumread on 'em.

I don't really get what you're saying here? Could you explain what benefit you see from outing checks other than allowing the seer to give a result?

I don't think your post is alignment indicative, but I was asking why you bothered compiling them. The way I see it, if a player dies and flips cop, it's a fairly simple matter to go back and read their checks. If you're suggesting avoiding lynching from checks entirely, I'd disagree because everyone who ISN'T the cop is just picking a name and going with it.
