Let's assume this was a random fit of rage that resulted in accidental death. If a rational person was capable of that up to this point, their rage would quickly turn to horror at the thought that they just killed a family member. I would imagine they would then call 911 to do what they could to help.

That's assuming a rational person is capable of getting to that point without any mind-altering substances.

Valid option, I was just weighing the repercussions. As a gambling man I'd back "no sentence" over "reduced sentence" anyday. Maybe she was the same.

Hearing from a few other people, turns out this guy was in general not a very good roommate. He apparently would not leave his sister alone when she needed time, he didn't pay his half when splitting grocery costs, constantly inviting his friends over without permission, etc.

I'm sure many of you have been with or know of some bad roommates/partners, but it's still never worth killing for. He was just bothersome and far from threatening.

The value of life is different for each person. I happen to agree with the statement "not all deserve to live." There are people who hurt or kill other people for reasons without any value, and truthfully, I'm fine watching people such as say, the green river killer taken off the planet for good.

Obviously there are better ways to solve things such as the problems this lady was having. And she should be punished correctly. But the statement you made is, in my opinion, wrong. If you think in terms of extreme examples.

I don't feel like safety netting what I said, because this post would stretch for miles. Exercise some common sense.

Also, before someone calls me a psychopath, no. You may want to go study some basic Psychology before you throw that word around.
