Head over to the FFR Batch Forum for all the details on how you can get your file into the game. The Artist Permissions forum section will help you find out if FFR has permission to use the song your file goes with.
Dude we fucking loved your files. When me and Tsuka were doing our final playtest, we kept screaming when your files came up cause they were so fun and got us hype
I think the files you made just aren't my kind of thing, and looking back I was a bit unfair with a couple (Angel Island especially oops). They're really not badly made at all!!!! I'm just hard to please a lot of the time and have a niche interest. Sorry
I loved all of your submissions actually, especially Rhythm and Balance. Krooks March is really well done too, and I warmed up to Splash Down as well.
You were the most consistent step author to send files in and have them accepted (aside from MarioNintendo). I think that's worthy of a trophy actually.
Man, no joke Bmah deserves to be up there on the front page because of how consistently good, varied, and technically proficient his submissions were. More people need to play Ruins of the Giant, Angel Island Zone, Krook's March, Rhythm and Balance...
One hundred percent completely deserved and I don't care what anyone says. He kept the energy going with each submission.
First of all thanx.
Where should I start.. To begin with I'll say one thing. Song Choice.
Since I was so desperate to know how other people sync'd it,
I went through files from the past, I still gatta find Zaghurim's version,
and honestly none of the versions were bad, but I found out every version was offsync lol
As far as the colors. Believe it or not, it wasn't intentional at all. The song itself naturally had offsetted instruments. But when I first threw it in FFR queue, ppl were impressed by the ''color theory'' that I didn't mean to do. So I decided to go with it and change the bpm's back and forth
between the piano and guitar solo's.
Was recommended to use 32nds for the non streamy parts since the notes were closer to them.
The xylophones are actually 64ths and offsetted from the percussion. I did slightly tweak the bpm but Im pretty sure its naturally off.
Edit: now tht Im relooking at these, some of them look closer to 24ths lol Im gunna kms with this song
So yea tl;dr this song was the embodiment of color theory, I just tried my best at charting it.
Difficulties.
To be real, the difficulties are not that different at all.
My major issue with the file was how spikey the difficulty was between the streams and the bursts/jacks.
I felt, for players who can hit those jacks and bursts at ease will find the streams boring.
But at the same time, I didnt want to layer the percussion on the entire thing since it would force less unique patterns. so I resulted in adding difficulties that water down the obnoxious sections to the point where the easiest version doesn't have jacks/bursts at all.
once again thanx man.

thnx for the input! this thing is honestly still WIP and I will consider looking into a different scheme of PR hoping to find something tht flows better.
So question of the day, sorry if this is a little personal to my files, but I really want to know.
Has Factory Stage aged well? I started stepping it for ODI3, then put more effort into it when this was announced. I believe it's been 5~ years when I started stepping it??
bmah, your files are literally the only reason why I keep stepping. You're like the biggest influence to me. I love all of your submissions, and I fanboy whenever anything of yours is released, seriously.

Yeah dude, we meant to give you a trophy on release day, but being up for 24 hours and trying to rush everything, I forgot some stuff.

Honestly with Johnny C. Bad, I was on the verge of pushing it into the Amazing category. A lot of effort went into that file I can tell, so keep it up! I know for a fact I couldn't chart streams like that since I don't have the patience like you do.
"lofty's file is nothing really new for colour theory tbh considering that countless people have been abusing it since 2010 (especially myself)."
The mines are really what hold the idea together (dodging the bloopers)
also, people should be taking notice of the "artistic". It's a sarcastic trophy. I dont think anyone is claiming the file to be paradigm-breaking.
I charted it as a cute novelty file, and I think both Mac and Tsuka will agree with this original sentiment.
I do appreciate the attention, but let's get some more hype for the really great files in the pack!

Literally this. We knew it was novelty. We loved it, which is why we added an "artistic" trophy with a silly award. Anybody taking it seriously needs to take a step back L O L
