nah it's more about whether or not nighttalk breaks a game's intended balance. like if you think of a vanilla setup with just a seer, if the seer thinks they're about to get nightkilled, they can post all of the information they have 1 minute before a night phase expires. that allows them to decide whether or not to relay that information and expose themselves during the time after a lynch, and it also ensures that they'll live for another day phase if they weren't already going to die. pretty broken.
in this case, this game is all mysterious and junk, and an extra player was inserted into the game at the start of a night phase, nighttalk allows for more funsies. I guess in short, more serious games tend to have no nighttalk
