i really don't want to sound like i'm defending sarah because the shit she did last year was pretty fucking caustic and, imo, it warranted a lot of the shit she got for it

but iirc she also stated, more than once, that she was going to be better this year (laying off drugs, etc etc)

so if she was fine this year idk why you're still bringing up shit from last year

No, korny, the people in the ffr meetup are not pieces of shit. i am going to defend that. i had fun this year. it was the best con. andrew and i are friends and we spent it together, i got to meet kommis wonderful gf this year, and say sven for the last time, i got to connect with team qc and many more. i met people who came to an for the first time. i just dont appriciate the bullying and lack of respect that a select few have. if i was shit talked in the speech the nect year, i aiggest we get a new speaker. thats not happening.
but for instance, take wtfbrandon and i, i burned bridges with him, i regret it, his opinin is my fault. i just had too much goin on last year and this year i was fine and i so badly wanted to say hello to wtfb, but i knew it couldnt be fixxed. maybe it could , idk and thats okay for rn. but on other notes, with kady, that 'crap talk' over her kid was march 2014 actually and i appologized in may at the 2014 con lmao. i cant change rudeness without a reason.

just stop this hate. its bad for your souls.please.

sarah asked for peoples attention, then pretended to hit sven in the stomach while he was trying to stand up after halfway breaking his back so that he strained and fell back down on the ground in severe pain. that's pretty much not forgiveable.

After the shit she pulled it's going to take more than 1 Anime North to actually be able to tolerate her around me, and I know I'm clearly not the only one that feels that way.

I haven't been to AN, so I don't have much context to go off of so I apologize if my understanding of the situation is over-simplified.

Not liking someone (even if based on a year-long grudge) is one thing though. However, publicly humiliating someone, especially in the matter that was done with that group photo, is another thing altogether.

Also, perhaps it may be the case that not everyone is fond of Sarah. It may even be the case that everyone would agree to edit the photo for their own entertainment. However, I don't think that everyone would agree to posting said edited photo in a public forum...that's a bit of a step too far.

For those who don't know the full story...
This person WAS confronted. Last year after AN about some of the problems people were having with said person.
I thought i'd do it since I was mutual with this person and didn't have much to lose and thought I would honestly get an apology, not just for me but for the others who had been upset...
Unfortunately instead of things being talked through and reasoned with it kind turned into a shit storm and has continued till this day.
I personally just ignored it this year with a lot of people asking me how come I haven't said anything but... idk.
This person didn't really do anything wrong this year. People were still being upset from the previous year which I can't really agree with sadly..
This person did a lot to make friends with old people who have been hurt plus some new people who they haven't met yet or first time comers to AN. Overall I think said person has been doing much better not just for us, but for themself. Which in my books... Earns my respect. It's a shame all of this is happening over 1 person but hopefully some people will take a second to sit and think why do they honestly dislike this person. Is it because someone else dislikes them? Or do you actually have a good reason. If so do they honestly deserve all this hatred even with them trying extremely hard to fix the shit storm?
I guess that's not for me to decide tho.

I'll simplify this whole thing for you guys.

You may or may not have something personal against Sarah, but the choice is yours. You can either:

- Pick a blank slate and encourage that she's trying to dig herself out of her "reputation" and just be like the rest.
- Disregard the above and just keep taking a shit over her for whatever problem she may have or may not have caused, leaving her absolutely no way to improve.

I'm not in any of your shoes, and I absolutely cannot speak for everyone here, but as far as I'm concerned, and as far as many others seem to feel after some 1v1 discussion, she's a legit part of the group now, and still holding a grudge pretty much equates feeling offended by breathing the same air as she does. Which makes someone like that the actual problem.

However if this is not the case and you actually have something against her from this year, common sense says you guys go take the skeletons out of the closet and go straight to the point to either resolve or come to a mutual agreement or somewhere close to that - but not here, do that in private. Do as Ally, the one who, you know, you ultimately praised for being an MVP most organised important person and whose instructions you are completely disregarding now, said.
