I was too swift voting and chose to have no new files in the next tournament. Although I'm still sticking by that, I honestly don't care on how the next official will be planned out. My focus is to simply get better and play to the best of my abilities.

At the very least we all know that the 11th official is going to exist which is great. I also stick with how spoiled we all are on here but everything that's done here behind the scenes is greatly appreciated. Just seeing this might make me wanna attempt to contribute to the next tournament by maybe stepping something. We'll see how much free time I have after I graduate from college (in about 2 weeks.)

p.s. mix of old/new is the best -- use new for prize rounds (r 5/6 through 8), use old for everything else

- you guys are all assuming that the current queue is going to last
- you guys are all assuming that the judgment situation is going to be resolved before the queue runs out
- you guys are forgetting the amount of files it takes to be accepted, and if we're avoiding internalizing files, you will never get the files you need

true story: the tournament will never happen with 100% unique content with FFR being in the current state

All this is true if the main priority is getting the tournament to happen as soon as possible. If everybody wants the thing rushed then sure, go ahead and re-use old files. If we actually, you know, see that things are starting to happen to the batch with judge apps and give that time to go through then we'd have more files.

protip: unless you know what went on behind the scenes during the last official you shouldn't be telling staff how easy it is to get all of the files

July isn't really rushing anything, tournaments were usually held close to then because people were out of school. Running them in the fall or winter usually results in less signups and participation.

all of what i said is main priority if you want to have a tournament with new files, not if you want to "rush it"

i mean if you want to wait for a tournament to happen without internalized files, good luck: the last five official tournaments have required them

edit: stop being a pretentious asshole in assuming that nothing is going on when you're from on the outside looking in, and stop acting like you're this omniscient being that understand how the system works

Alright, well this is obviously going to just spiral out of control now so I'll just simply leave it as the official will happen whenever it happens then.

Just please don't be angry with me if it ends up being in like December or something. I've already said I was going to do the best I can to get all new content, there's not much else I can say or do at this point.

Have you guys considered using files from alternative engines for the Official Tournament? They would work like dummy files to fill spots without having any effect on the current song list.

They're not integrated with the dashboard and even then the same problem applies that it's not fresh content, people could be practicing it.
