Well, I don't really see much suspicion about his scores. He's most likely skillboosting which is why we have these things. I'm glad he's making some solid improvement.

No, I know he skillboosted like crazy, that isn't what I'm saying though lol

I mean previous scores were f***ing awesome in fact, but this week... Not so awesome. He totes tryin to stay in d3 TBH, I was really only joking lol I;m giving him a hard time for not doing as well as I know he can. I mean shit, SDG Monstrous Turtles? Super duper! (Again, not really sayin he is sandbaggin to stay d3, to make it clear lolol)

It's no big deal, really. Like, if he is still D3, that's fine, if D4 then thats gravy too. Idc where people are placed, doesn't affect me any. Unless of course this was an OT, then I'd have words o.o

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. The thing about OTs, it's very common for someone to skill boost like crazy during them because you're playing more often just to get a certain placement you want. It's not uncommon to see a D3 player play like a D4 player after the first three rounds. The thing is, if the stats reflect a D3 player during the submission phase of the OT, he will be placed there. Sometimes a player can be moved up a division if there is significant improvement in that player's performance.

Everyone can jumpstream. I have faith in you.

Edit: I will say jumpstream can be one of the hardest skills to pick up when you're really starting to understand the game.

Slowly, but surely I will get there. Gluts, trills, rolls, and normal stream are my strengths.

Have you ever tried this..?

Stepmania or FFR(With a standalone player higher than 9), try picking a song with a dense jumpstream - for example, you can pick gametime, cyber inductance, etc. If it feels fast, drop the rate to .8 or .9. Make it slower so you can understand Jumpstream patterns. You can slowly, but surely develop some muscle memory on how jumpstream feels.

Every now and again I'll do it, but seeing as I rarely am ever playing except trying to grind points for vet recently or just do the NIA or user tourney songs. I'm practicing now with some FFRMania files though, hopefully this will help.

My advice:

Take one thing at a time. If Vet is what you're going for, go get that vet status. Then you can get more technical and work on your overall gameplay. There isn't much point in trying to fix your skill level if you're shooting for a certain GT.
