I think this type of model has been tried before on FFR without much success. It's very difficult to get a large group of people to commit to the same time schedule multiple times over. I think as long as you have 16+ people who are participating you can safely continue with it.
I'm aware, yeah. :/
I wanted to give it a shot and it seemed like the interest was there but it's simply impossible to catch everyone at once. It is what it is.
Just cause you are one point behind me in the practice qualifier is all.
oh, i wasnt able to play one of the songs, and i was just throwing out scores (notice the 38 that wasn't AAA'd lol) but i dont mind u comparing ur scores to mine

16th OT (D7): LAST PLACE LOL
sosig is the easy part the concept is to have the money to get the plastic surgery of that live forever dude so you can shove the sosig in you'r e perfect face
I'm gonna have to drop out of the tournament as well for multiple reasons aka won't ever be able to be on time or be at my top game and I've lost my will to compete on FFR lately. Goodluck to everyone else and hope this tournament still becomes a success.
Best AAA = Aballava(?) + Serious Shit (97) Best SDG = Fushigi Usagi Milk Tei 8-0-0-3 (101) Best Score = do i smile? 3-0-0-3 (100)
hm~ whenever i run tournaments like this i usually go out of my way to show sympathy/emotions whenever a difficult decision (i.e. disqualification) has to be made. makes the person yr disqualifying feel a little less alienated about the whole thing; going about it in a formal way seems to be a quick way to make an already frustrated situation worse imo~ even an emoticon or somethin goes a long way ŻuŻ;;
(especially if it involves credits/symbolic compensation for doin the thing, haha)

Ohhh I just noticed that....Wahhhhh your better then me
I'm still not sure how much I'm willing to do this anymore.
It's not just you guys and those dropping out; it's actually more that I've lost quite a bit of interest in FFR over the past week, and I'm also somewhat busy with classwork lately too.
At the end of the day, I know I can return the donated credits back to the users and just hand out those who attempted the qualification (including Mahou/Rapta), but there seems to be a general interest in this concept. I'm really not excited to be doing this anymore, and I think that's a pretty big problem as a tournament host. If a host isn't interested in running their own event, it speaks volumes about how potentially bad the tournament has gotten to them.
I'm definitely not confident about this concept and I'm not sure what to do. I'll send a private message out today inquiring about those who are still interested in the tournament and then figure out how I want to go about things.
Qualifications will most likely be on Saturday, February 7th at 9 PM server time. However, I will give you guys things to do just to get more acclimation with the system and process of submitting (similar to the mock qualifier, I'll do some mock scheduling so that people get an idea of what they should be doing).
