I believe he does state that he initially saw the item in his right hand but during the encounter, at some point, they were moved into his other hand (I believe while he was trying to pass the item to his friend, is what was also stated).
I read his defense a few days ago, but like many altercations, you don't plan to remember each and every fact as it happened while it's happening. The way you're even asked questions in a court room, they're designed to make you recount almost every single moment and the moment something doesn't add up, they pressure you as if it's not human to make a mistake, to forget a fact etc...
ive only been in one fight and all i remember even shortly afterwards were the first and last 10 seconds. everything inbetween was a blur of me hitting guys and getting hit
It does suck that even if this dude is innocent, which he seems to be, he can never be a cop around there again. He probably can't live there anymore, period.
is this irony that last sentence is like really clever if its irony and shocking if not
About the evidence: There was a scuffle in the car, then M.B. fled to about 200 feet away, then advanced towards the officer again, where he was found shot dead about 150 feet away from the car. This is consistent with Officer W's testimony and proved most eyewitness testimony flawed. Eyewitness testimony that happened to change several times before trial was wrong? Wow!
Edit:// Not saying there aren't problems with race in America, but Michael Brown was a terrible case to martyr. There are several more upsetting cases that should have caused an uproar that didn't, while this case, ripe with misrepresentation by the media and false eyewitness accounts, was blown up by the media into more than it ever should have been.
i'm pretty liberal as people go but i still roll my eyes every time i read a dailykos article
the rest of your evidence consists of a tumblr, a blog post, a vox article, billion-page court documents that are "just bogus", and ramblings about the kkk
that's not going to convince anybody who isn't already convinced
Tru,
how about...
Darren Wilson says he was hit with a barrage of punches in the police interview, then in the court room he says he was punched twice in the face with full force by Mike Brown's right hand, and claims he felt the third strike could be fatal, yet he's unharmed in any way; no bleeding, no lacerations, no bruises?
A Sergeant of the Ferguson Police Department says that Wilson told him he didn't know of the stealing incident, then in the court room Wilson says he knew of it.
Darren also said that Mike Brown reached into his car, grabbed his own gun that is on the right side of him, and pointed it at his pelvis, yet there are no fingerprints on the gun, no signs of redness from being forced to point the gun at himself at all, and again.. no finger prints?
Why is Darren Wilson completely unharmed after this "life threatening" scuffle?
There's really no proof that Mike Brown assaulted Darren at all other than Darren Wilson saying he did.
i'm white so i'm socially not allowed to talk about this issue but this made me laugh my goddamned dick off

I heard about this news somewhere and think it's tragic that a kid died at the hands of an officer. If I was the officer, if I saw the guy, I would try to assess the situation properly. What is the race of the guy?
...
If this wasn't a case of blatant racism on part of the officer, then I don't blame him. His actions were based purely on instinct and training. Otherwise, I'll be damned.
