I still don't like Syndrome,the reads list was so half assed and still primarily focused on me. It feels like a hero trying too hard to me.

Really though, if you think it'd be a good idea for a hero to tunnel (I'm not even really doing this in that post, you had more stuff because surprise! you had more bad shit going on in my opinion.) this early, you probably need to rethink about how to play this game. At least you are posting a tad more, but trying to guess who people are isn't really helping all that much.

Hey Syndrome, is there really any need for a reads list this early in the game? With so little to go on at this stage it's going to be more 1/4 reads on people and 3/4 almost-random guesses based on one or two posts, but just the act of making a reads list turns everyone's attention away from everything else to support or dispute it.

Think this post is worse than what I had about you in my list. Nothing is too early to do in this game. As far as I'm concerned, I'm making an effort and the list also helps me keep track of what has happened. So really, it wouldn't turn everyone's attention away from everything else to support or dispute it, since supporting or disputing it would be focusing on what's going on. Also, reads aren't concrete, they are fluid. When more stuff happens, my opinions also change. Amazing.

If you don't like the fact I'm forming opinions on players, you should trying posting more substance than twisting some quotes around and then disappearing.

Syndrome went for some mad overcompensating with that post, and I don't think it even worked. He's clearly still tunneling on Hook (writing more about him than pretty much everyone else he bothered to write about combined) and I'm not convinced that he actually cares about the other posters.

Believe what you will. Underlined part has been explained. If you do the most fishy stuff in my opinion, you have a strong read. It's as simple as that. Not to mention the fact that I wasn't finished and had to sleep, or the fact that there's still some players that haven't posted enough at all or anything at all.

Noticing this can be seen as contradictory. I mean to say that while trying to guess who people are isn't all that helpful, it shouldn't be penalized in this case. Doing it in moderation can be good later on maybe, but trying to appear to put in effort by only talking about guesses isn't.

Sorry, I misread. What I got out of that was that Scar was "jumping" over information. Not "jumping" at people for getting voted.

The UTR part of your analysis is accurate. The idea of me being a hero and trying to do whatever is just, yuck.

I'm only trying to form some ideas off of what I see, if you don't like it, try and be of more use and post more so I'm not forced to have this view of you.

At this point, fine with a lynch on Hook, Hans, or Auto. If more people vote for Hans, I shall move my vote. Will also finish the other 4 or 5 people I missed after I get back, as I am out and about again.

And while I think that wouldn't be a bad idea (seriously guys, lay off Hook, you've been pressing him for two pages on the same issue) there are some things in particular that need more attention, such as...

-Jafar going Disney roleplay after 8 pages, making four roleplay posts, and vanishing
-Shan Yu, who distracts from everything going on to try to start a push on me
-Cruella De Vil-attempted to distract from the apparently-serious Scar vote by claiming her Hans vote was the first serious one she made

I'm not liking this. While they're not entirely wrong about a reads list being comprised of little more than gut feelings this early on, to frame Syndrome's reads list or me bringing up their contradiction accusation post from earlier as attempts at distraction makes for a pretty weak argument on their part. When there's twenty people with little to nothing to go on there's going to be twenty different lines of thought occuring simultaneously. Having only a couple of narratives dominating the thread is dangerous. Plus, using the distraction defense is hyprocritical given that they do this in the same post:

there are some things in particular that need more attention

By their logic, wouldn't this constitute a distraction as well?

Really wouldn't be making comments on me posting more. Neither one of us has really been playing all that great of a game so far. You've spent a ton of time focused on me and I've spent too much time defending against you.

For me having an idea of who people are gives me better reads. It may be an anon game but many people have traits that come out. I'm sure plenty of people know who I am by now. Maybe it isn't useful for you, but for me it is.

I'm starting to get concerned that there's two people who have not posted at all so far, two that haven't been back in the thread for more than 24hrs now and a handful more that haven't really posted anything at all and we're this far into the day phase. It's hard to form any good opinions when there's so many that haven't even been here. We can keep running around the same people who are posting frequently but I feel like most of the good points have been brought up on these people.

Also, Hades I was unsure of early on, but their chat with Hans is making me lean towards villain, though I'm not with them on every point. For example, if Hook was a hero along with Hans then I don't think Hook would name Hans but not anybody else in their defense. That would be too easy to see through from the point of view of the villains and not the kind of move that a hero conscious of their role would make. However, Hades' extended prodding of Hans for the same sort of stuff that I was interested in knowing too is giving me the villain feel.

Since Hans is starting to have more of a voice, albeit one that I'm less confident but still suspicious of, I'm going to switch my vote over to TWG Auto. I wouldn't be confident in lynching them without seeing some more posts from them first, though.

Both of them have been sorely lacking in presence.

I am fine with a Hans lynch, but since we have the extra time today, we should definitely use as much of it as possible, so we shouldn't insta until tomorrow evening at the earliest.

You know looking back at this again, it doesn't sit well with me. How do you go from saying that it's not productive to jump on me for not wanting to contribute, plus stating there's no benefit in me saying I don't want to participate in this post

Jumping on Captain Hook for not wanting to contribute to what looked like an absolute shitstorm to me from reading the thread isn't productive. Because what the fuck? I'm still salty about this. I'd also like to see the benefit of a hero publicly stating that he/she does not want to participate in "discussions," if you can call it that.

I have nothing solid on anyone myself. The game started this afternoon.

The Queen is someone who hasn't posted at all yet but is lurking now, so hopefully soon.

Dr. Facilier and TWG Randall Boggs dumped two posts in yesterday and haven't been back for more than 24hrs now.

We need to hear more from Jafar and Gaston, they both haven't really bothered to post about anything that's been going on.
