This is kind of rude, where are you coming from? You realize I playtested it right? I'm not an idiot, I know how mines work.Comment

Re: Yolomania Vol. 3 Submissions Open!
so you're just bad at stepmania
fission's been making files longer than you've been in the community and knows more about what makes a good file than you do, so yea.Comment

I guess you could say, this thread has become...

Lol
FFR forums, the place where veteran simfile makers are always right because they've been around longer. I'm done with this argument, if you don't like it go make your own pack. I put a lot of time and effort into doing these packs and if you can't be civil then I want nothing to do with you or your files.Last edited by Wafles; 06-15-2014, 06:23 PM.Comment

Oh, those 32nds are there because the music does have a note there......
But OK, respect your idea

Yeah they made sense, it's just not a real fun pattern for a stamina fileComment

Re: Yolomania Vol. 3 Submissions Open!
LOL very major, stepmania world problems, but thanks for the reminder. I just simply forgot to.
Because there is no 32nd run there, listen to what I'm putting 32nd runs to in the later portions with clear prominence, I don't get your inconsistency claim here.Second major problem is just general consistency and layering things. Like, its hard to tell why at 6.643s you don't have a short 32nd run here, and you step these little things elsewhere.
Took another peek and noticed minor minijack notes missing, but that's it. Fixed those.Third sort of problem - your minijacks seem a little inconsistent, just take another peak at what you're doing with these please
It begged to be stepped like that, it's either trill or ignore it altogether. I chose trill. It's 150 bpm, anyone playing this pack aren't little wimps, they can handle it. ^^25.393 - not sure about the 1h trill here, its probably okay though
Not a bad idea, actually.46.443 - consider changing to something like a [14][23] jumptrill for this beat to better fit your layering. same thing happens 4 beats later.
I accented the high velocity notes in comparison to the other notes around it. I like to take full attention to these things, I did the same later in the file so it's kinda funny you pointed this one out lol.54.734 - not a fan of this color theory
& I'm actually noticing ghost notes too, so I'll prob be sending in fixes for this. It might get stuck in conditional limbo, who knows XDComment

Re: Yolomania Vol. 3 Submissions Open!
you're the one who can't be civil. you're really bad at taking criticism and you massively over react to people telling you like it is, even if it is rude (which it really wasn't). ask any high level player and they will all say that mines after notes are harder to deal with. play cetaka's dream to nightmare file, for example, and tell me that the file would be harder with the mines before the notes because i'm pretty sure it wouldn't be.Lol

stepmania, the place where veteran simfiles artists generally have more insight into what makes a file "good"Lol

Re: Yolomania Vol. 3 Submissions Open!
dude i'm on your side with regards to the whole mine placement thing, but you gotta remember that packs and their respective quality are entirely up to the people running them.
no one really gave a shit when glove made people tune their files to his tastes for odi3. i mean yeah, glove's insight is definitely more refined and based around years of making files, no questioning that, but ultimately what goes into a pack and what's "allowed" and "not allowed" is up to the whims of the pack's creator
i didn't throw a fit when a file of mine got cut out because the xmod gimmicks would fuck with a lot of peoples' stepmania builds. chill.Originally posted by cetakaI saw a flyer on a bulletin board at school asking for high-functioning aspergers/autism people to participate in some kind of experiment, and all I could think was, that sounds like a great place to meet girls.Comment

Re: Yolomania Vol. 3 Submissions Open!
mines don't fuck up sm builds, just sm scores
people didn't get mad at glove tweaking files because the people who sent files to odi3 and got them even close to accepted were experienced simfile artistsComment
