Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
Sadly no. I spent some time yesterday looking around for more detailed information on how the courses work but couldn't find anything. There's also a bunch of semi-hidden features accessed by holding down F1-F8 (I think) that are all in Japanese so it's hard to discern what they all do.boopComment

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
Pastebin.com is the number one paste tool since 2002. Pastebin is a website where you can store text online for a set period of time.
To play courses,
1) Go here and click on any of the courses you want to try.
The blank stars are normal dan courses and black/shaded stars are insane level dan courses. ★★ is kaiden course and it's harder than ★10. (^^) is an overjoy course which is the hardest dan course.
2) Click on "コースファイルのダウンロード" and you should have a file called "course.lr2crs" regardless of which level course you downloded.
3) Make sure you have all the songs in that course or else the course won't run. There are total of 4 songs in a dan course (3 songs in DP (14 keys) dan courses)
4) Start up LR2 and go to Jukebox 1 tab. Click your course.lr2crs and drag it into the box that shows you the locations of your bms files. (Your course file should also be erased after you drop it off)
5) On the main screen, look for 段位認定 folder and it should have all your courses.
All you need to do to pass a course is make sure your health doesn't deplete anywhere during the course. You can also only play courses on groove or hard.
Once you pass the course, on the 段位認定 part of your main profile, it should show you the highest dan course you passed.
Left side represents the SP(7k) dan certificate and right side represents the DP(14k) dan certificate.
If you want to try the longnote dan courses, click here.
It's not official so it doesn't officially register on your profile but it still shows up in the 最近プレイしたコース part of your lr2 profile.
Here and here are also very convenient places to download all the songs for the dan courses.
Actually, you don't even need to download the specific difficulties that are required to play the dan courses from the lr2 website because it's all included.
Also, I might post like a little guide on the hidden features of lr2 later this week. There are some pretty neat features that are useful in many ways.Last edited by Cerise79; 02-12-2014, 03:00 PM.Comment

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
Pretty sure this has a link to official Konami charts for LR2.
Also I hear that the latest beta version of LR2 has a fatal memory leak error. Is this something I should worry about? (I know nothing about computers; it will be a miracle if I can get all of this up and running)Comment

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
Probably only matters if you're planning on running it for a very long time. If you want to see how bad it is then open task manager (ctrl+shift+esc) and watch the memory consumption over time of playing a bunch of songs and see what it does. I've played for about two to three hours non-stop and haven't had any issues, though I have like 12gb of ram on this computer lol.boopComment

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
I got to the part where I downloaded course.lr2crs, but I'm not sure what to do with it. :s I tried dragging it into the Jukebox 1 window but nothing happened!Comment

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
Did the course file disappear? If it did, you did it correctly. After that, start lr2 and on the song selection page (with all your rival folders and stuff), go to 段位認定 folder and inside you'll see all the courses you have downloaded.Comment

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
I don't think it matters what tab you're on, but if it does you should do it from the main tab; that's how I do it and it always works. The first dialog that comes up you have to click "Yes" and then another will pop up with a number saying how many courses were added, then you have to click "OK" on that one and it should be good to go.boopComment

What is a good place to download beginner songs? Just downloaded AppLocale and LR2.
Thanks!Comment

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
Look into beatmania of fighters, or BOF. They'll generally have IIDX quality simfiles.Comment
