'It' is a universal pronoun used for just those kinds of stepmanias. It'd be kinda weird to come up with a different form of 'it' just because you're referring to a person.
Also wow this thread didn't become crazy as expected I'm impressed.
a preferred gender pronoun is what you call some one when you refer to them in speech. if they want to be called "they," you respect that. "they" has always been gender-neutral and has always been a safe word to call ANYONE, so i don't understand why it's so hard to think some people would prefer to be called they/them. in short, it's not up to you asshole!
but fuck this person. THEY need a new therapist.

Blame English. You also got hanged vs hung, go figure.
There is a word, "ta", that can mean him, her, or it depending on how you use it. So for some reason I feel like you could just say "ta" instead of "him/her" and "ta de" to indicate "his/hers." It probably doesn't have the same dehumanizimng whatever as "it" in english fuck you typo you're gonna stay there
I'm sleepy as fuck I don't know what I am trying to say with this post

No idea Renard considered themself (?) asexual so my chirping of plural usage wasn't to demean him, only that it makes for difficult reading just so everyone knows lol. So they're like Ditto or something in pokemon! Hard to assign pronouns to that :/
Asexual is different than agender.
Agender means being neither male nor female, being outside the perceived gender binary.
by posting a giant blog post about it? ya dun goofed
As mentioned previously in this thread, as well as by the person who posted it, they only did so because someone else posted about it without permission, and this poster wanted to clear up potential misconceptions about it, i.e., they were not the original person to post on the internet about it, but they responded to what someone else posted so there would be less misunderstanding about it.
I also know several people who choose to go by they/them or "it", or only their name and no pronouns. It is an uncommon occurrence, but needs to be respected. Whatever a person tells you about their gender and sexual orientation is how you should refer to them when talking about such things.
Also "they" is a proper gender-neutral singular pronoun in English.
