double check this whole section and make sure youve captured all the 16th notes, make any easier chart(s) you want, and i'll gladly accept it

The [34] goes to the snare...if you're talking about the [14] at beat 118 it goes to the piano/bass chord in the background that gives the hands in this same section.

Disagree; I'm only stepping the lead synth/bass kicks/snare in this section. Adding an 8th after the 16th for this section would make for an inconsistency in layering.

I'm not hearing the 92.0, 92.3 16ths...are you talking about the [23][14][14][23] bit or something else? The ones at 94.8 etc. I definitely hear though and added 'em in, along with a couple more here or there.

I'll probably work on the easier charts tomorrow and resubmit. Thanks for the review.

listen closely, the synth isnt just a 16th gallop, but a 16th triplet


92.0s the sound that's stepped as a [23] repeats right after it on a 16th, same stuff happens at 92.73s

there were some missing notes that were more obvious than others, just make sure you check, also i'll have matt look at it

rejection has no bearing on potential, just that it has too many problems in it's current state to consider being accepted

EDIT: if a chart doesn't have potential because of song choice, i'll explicitly mention it

Very nice.

One thing I'll want to mention though is that flatly stating a song has little potential is a strong thing to say, because you need to make sure that is the case. It's very possible you might underestimate that potential.

a fair observation. if i'm not entirely sure i'll say something like "maybe with a cut" (i said this for one of valor's charts) or "not sure" but if it's just 180 BPM Generic DJ Sharpnel 16th Note Synthesizer etc. then i already know right away that the song isn't going to offer much.

- the problem with a song choice like this is that it's really difficult to make a file that isn't arbitrarily varied (if that makes sense?)
- there is quite a few ghost notes (e.g. overstepped 32nd bursts), listen on a lower rate
- a lot of the mini holds are unnecessary and emphasize guitar notes just fine as layering
- it's not inherently a terrible file, it's just not what i'm looking for

- Eh variety isn't everything. People seem to like undeviating files from hoarding Jump/Handstream and buzzes. Maybe this is just my view of it. Might be wrong.

- I've listened and cannot for the life of me find these ghost notes. There might be some in that 32nd solo, but other than that I'd have to say there none that I hear? (If you'd point them out or just like a few examples I'd appreciate it.)

- I'm weird I really like using them this way. Just my preference though. I guess another thing I'm curious about is the graces at the intro. Were those alright or did they heavily bother you?

- Fair enough. I know it's a keyboard pack, but how do you feel about easier end files? I'm talking like maybe challenging - VC range on FFR? (Just curious.)

- totally true, but so many of them play so similarly or exactly the same to others, so just not what we're looking for

- 15.4s, 92.583s, 102.674s is only 24ths, 35.652s ghost note, and yea some parts of the guitar solos are a bit inaccurate

- personally i think those miniholds are fine and work well, also grace notes in intro were good too

- challenging-vc range files on ffr would be acceptable, but will be harsher on objective errors since there's less going on, also would be even better if you can make at least 2 difficulties for them

i've tried to change my reviewing style a bit as to not be as direct. personally i disagree with mini holds for the same reasoning. however, i suppose it isn't wrong and you could leave them as is.

- I planned on trying for 3 difficulties. The Beginner is the Timpani, The Light is the violin, the standard combines them as a file as a whole. Even if you didn't like it, it'd fit into stepping stones as well.

Subjective things are what make it fun I suppose. Your review style isn't "bad" at all. It's just super blunt. Which is actually kinda nice. I just wanted to know these things because I was going to single release it not because I heavily disagreed. I wanna make sure it looks good you know?

i think it's worth mentioning that if you clean up the chart a bit and cut out some of the pre guitar solo buildup (not all of it of course) that you could have a pretty strong file. i should have also made mention to that when i reviewed it.

Not gonna lie when you're telling to cut some of this out I'm rather unsure what you're referring to.

Edit: Unless you're referring to the actual MP3 in which case I do not have the know-how to do that.
