Pandaria still feels really weird to me. Buffed tanks now have a million hp. It is just ridiculous how much stats they throw on things now.

Apparently in the next expansion they are rescaling everything down to where 50k would be how much a geared tank would have again and 30k would be typical. Although that could be a lie.

next xpac will have an item squish (supposedly)

also trial of the gladiator is a pvp mode that will eliminate gear from the equation and make it solely based on skill (also supposedly)

This is true. I went to Blizzcon, played the alpha. The character in the alpha were 528 ilvl, and my warlock had ~30k hp.

Current armory - fully raid buffed i have ~970k hp.

It is interesting how pve gear has nearly double the amount of stamina as pvp gear. They don't do any damage in pvp since they wont have pvp power, but they are moderately annoying to kill.

They wanted you to be able to pvp successfully in battlegrounds with pve gear.

You mean not successfully? Because pve gear is pretty useless in pvp. You want as much pvp power as possible and every piece of pve takes away from that.

No I mean successfully. You'd be surprised for Battlegrounds how well people in PvE gear can do. They don't want them doing -arenas- well or anything.

you're totally right, it should be

but it's not because baddies complain about gear, so they get gear

that's (most likely) why blizz is trying out this trial of the gladiator

altho i am in favor of PvP sets that cater towards certain builds

(ex. 3-4 piece set gives X skill Y benefit whereas another 7 piece set gives skill Z a benefit but not X/Y etc)
