...very close, and still up for movement considering placements aren't finalized...

you could make my life a lot easier by moving yourself to D7

(considering that you're borderline in my eyes, if you agree to move yourself up to D7 and actually participate, I'd still give you Unconnected., lol)

Oh Lord.

This decision is honestly VERY DIFFICULT.

I would essentially be removing myself from any shot of placing.

The BIGGEST problem is I can't AAA high level stuff. I literally don't have one over level 81.

So AAA or die means.. I die. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

Let's say you have an unexpected death of a family member who you were close with and they lived out of state. Seeing as they meant a lot to you you pay your respects ...

Something tells me that if someone you were close with died, you wouldn't give a flying arrow about an FFR tournament.

In my opinion, a round should only last a day or two, not a week.
If one doesn't have time to play at least every 2 days imo they are not worthy of becoming a winner

A day or two is absolutely ridiculous people have different schedules and can't all be on around the same times. A week may be boring to you, but it helps accommodate for the fact that there's 500 people that have different lives and may not be able to play weekdays but can play on the weekend or vice versa. Some of the younger participants may have parents that only allow them to play certain times/days. What you're saying is extremely unfair.
I'm also going to throw this at you from another perspective. One or two day rounds isn't enough for those who are running it to even prepare. Being that I've run this thing I few times I can tell you it takes a good deal of time to get everything prepared for rounds and when you're trying to do that on top of work, school, and 2 kids you're going to need more than 1-2 days. I don't want to hear "well then someone with more time should run it" there was a period when there were no officials at all. Not easy to do these things and they are extremely time consuming. Look at the 5hrs 17m we spent on a skype call last night just to smooth out borderline placements..

So you wouldn't feel bad if you got dropped out of the tourney, right?

w/e I was just mad because waiting is boring and I hate boring

So find other things to do? If you really have that little to do in your life outside ffr look for other things in ffr to do. Play some MP with someone, get involved in a user tourney (I'll be starting one for the DF custom engine shortly after the official starts), get involved in a rivalry, etc.

Pretty much, its hard to go down divisions. If you had made D3 worthy scores in the past, that means that with enough effort and practice, you can do it again.

@ gameboy: you're not "up" for movement, nor is anyone in that instance -- a better way to put it is that you're a higher-end player in a division, will be given a second look at, and there is a chance you could get shifted upward. It's an active thing.
