because the rates thread is full of d6-7 players now and also because the wanderer sounds so much better as a song on 1.25x and also because the criterion for SDGs should definitely be based on combo scoring i present this SDG

maybe i should have got 1 more good on purpose so it would have been the worst technically possible combo score that counts as SDG

each boo is -5 points, so 41 = -205 points. Technically, anything less than 250 raw points from AAA = SDG. So you're 355 points away from AAA, so not quite sdg

if you use raw scoring, then what you said is right.

my point was that if you use combo scoring to determine what's a SDG then each good is -275 and each boo is -20, so 6-0-0-41 would be -2470, so SDG. the thing i wrote underneath my replay refers to the fact that 7-0-0-41 would be -2745 points meaning it would be the worst possible SDG with combo scoring. if i'd gone for raw scoring instead maybe i wouldn't have mashed on purpose, i don't know...

i had so many off-by-1 or 2, it was excruciatingly painful... someday i will do this on 1.0x rate (but i will have to use r^3 because there's absolutely no way i could do it on an engine that doesn't give life for averages)

... that's cool. To bring us a bit more down-to-earth:

I was going through my levelranks cleaning up non-SDG* runs on all songs below 15. I've been AAAing many really, really easy ones, but past 3 or 4 (on the 99 point scale), I generally don't AAA anything.

I looked at Switchback [Light], and knew I couldn't have touched it in years. 50-5-0-0? What in the fuck?

Soooooo I went back to SDG* and AAAed a 5 first playthrough!

FC'd cosmic orchestra. I think I did pretty well. 43 goods isn't too shabby. Those three averages though came from lack of concentration. I kind of zone out while I'm playing longer songs.
