Also, for the burger fanatic try this burger sometime it's my special recipe.

Grass fed angus, tomatoes, onions, lettuce and mild cheddar, and then spread the buns evenly with apricot preserves. In this pic we had tried it with havarti( wasn't my choice) and it wasn't my thing the cheddar definitely brings out the sweetness of the apricot more. This burger is seriously one of the best easiest things to prepare and it is unbelievably good. I call it a Hawaiian burger. Something about the balanced sweetness makes the name fitting to me.

Chef Chu's - A co-worker suggested we should order Chinese for dinner and we did. I got shrimp with sizzling rice, wonton soup, and crabmeat rangoons. I've never tried "sizzling" rice before, so I felt adventurous and tried it out. It wasn't bad. There was way too much vegetables and not enough rice. The sizzling rice was unique. It basically tastes like fried rice without the egg. My co-worker ordered dynamite rolls, and let me try one, and it was amazing. I won't order what I had again, but I'll know to get dynamite rolls for next time. Its definitely not the best Chinese food I get, but its close to work so yeah. 5/10

        Gracie's (Providence, RI)
As a man who has eaten at nearly every restaurant of note in Rhode Island, this one is the best.

They are known for their 3-, 5-, and 7- course tasting menus that serve really interesting new combinations of flavors. Between their commitment to local farmers and their own rooftop garden, the ingredients are always fresh and top-quality. What tips it over the edge though is the service. It's amazing being able to ask a waiter, "what is this?" to which they reply not only "it's passion fruit-yuzu sorbet" but also what a yuzu is (it's a highly sour citrus fyi), where the fruits were grown, and how the sorbet was made on-premises.
Oh and just ask and you can tour their (huge!) kitchen. Chef Matt Varga is a real nice guy and will not only come out to your table to say hi, but take you into the kitchen and show you some awesome toys. (They have an "anti-griddle" that flash-freezes anything you put on it, for example, and a substantial vaccuum packaging machine used for, among other things, compressing chopped melon into delicious sweet blocks)

If you are ever in Rhode Island and need to eat somewhere classy: Gracie's.

Caveat: the place fucking expensive. Around $60+ per person without drinks, easily $150+ apiece if you start breaking into the wine and foie gras
You probably figured that out by now though
If you come during Providence's Restaraunt Week (going on now!) it's really cheap though, you can get a 3-course meal for only $30 and considering how fucking good the food is, it's a steal.

Bump. I ate at Chef Chu's again today and got ripped off. They messed up 2 of the 3 things I ordered and overcharged me for 2 of them also. I ordered dynamite rolls, small pineapple fried rice, and general chow's chicken. They told me the total was $30, so I changed my order from general chow's chicken to crabmeat rangoons since it was cheaper. So they told me a new price which was $20. So when they delivered it, what I got was dynamite rolls, a large pineapple fried rice and general chow's chicken. So the bill was $30 after they told me it was $20, which I have a feeling they did that on purpose since I changed my order since $30 was too high, and they said my food was already done when I wanted to change my order, which I thought was fascinating considering how I ordered 2 minutes before. There was no reason they couldn't change my order, and to overcharge me on top of that. Will never eat there again.

          For the food: 7/10
          For the service: 0/10

                  Red Sushi & Hibachi Grill
                  Kemah Boardwalk; Kemah, Texas

You can either enjoy the dining area and have the food cooked in the kitchen or have the food cooked in front of you at the hibachi grill. I go to the dining area because the only place I enjoy hibachi is at Ichibon Japanese Seafood.

I mainly go there for the sushi. It is delicious!

My last visit, I ordered the usual Kemah Roll and the Crunch Roll. I changed up my main dish. I went from the Hibachi Lobster Tails to Seafood Tokyo. It was SPICY, but good. Only ate about half of the Tokyo dish before I gave it.

Kemah Roll: Snow crab, cucumber and avocado topped with tobiko
Crunch Roll: Shrimp and crabmeat tempura topped with crunchy crab mix and eel sauce

Seafood Tokyo: Shrimp, scallops, calamari and vegetables tossed with udon noodles in a spicy chili sauce

What is this supposed to even mean... You can find the best of the best of anything in Texas for food. The highest zagat rated restaurant in the world is in Dallas. You act like we're all riding around on horses down here or something.

                          McDonalds

Was already reviewed with pretty much the same sentiments. The food tastes like ass and I'm kinda scared with every bite of my burger that I'm potentially swallowing hog feces with my paint chemicals and pink slime. The place is dirty as fuck, the smell is awful, the staff all seem depressed to be stuck working at a fast food place, and do I need to mention how fucking dirty the place is again? Yes. I was forced against my will to eat here.

Burger King is a lot worse from what I remembered several years ago. Back in the day they had star shaped chicken nuggets and nice thin crispy fries. Now the nuggets have the consistency of a fish ball (holes everywhere etc) and the fries are fat and soft, no crispiness.

We were served by David himself throughout the evening, very nice man and I had no problem paying the $67 pricetag for the dining experience b4 tip (which for two people for fine dining is alright, no wine pairings though).

I ordered the 3 course special which came with a mushroomy lobster bisque for appetizer, with a white wine drizzled in dots on the surface that paired very nicely with the seafoody build of the bisque. Entree was a flank steak over ratatouille, which was amazing. The dish looked beautiful too, 6 perfect cuts laid out on the bed of veggies with some neat looking potato fingers peaking out. That steak was marinated in something out of this world, goddamn. It was topped with a slice of parsley garlic butter which melted into everything on the dish. Finally, for dessert, a fig butter tart with (savoy?) icecream and some berries around it. The plate was a work of art and the taste measured up exactly on par with it.

Lindsey ordered an herb crusted lamb chop with a potato tart and mushroom jus which was top notch aswell, but my 3 course meal came to the same price so I think I lucked out

A pricey night but man was it good, I'd definitely go back. The owner was an awesome guy, he made sure to make the night enjoyable for us. One of the finer meals I've had in awhile.
Highly agree with this. I love David's Bistro. Very nice guy also. I've been twice and I had the same thing Lindsey ordered both times. So good.

Shit, I messed up, the last restaurant I ate at was actually today. McDonalds was yesterday.

                                Subway

Coincidentally someone else also reviewed Subway already but I have a different opinion this time. Hooray.

The place didn't seem nearly as dirty as McDonalds, but it still seemed kinda greasy. The smell however, goddamn. Supposedly, people say that's the smell of freshly baked bread, but the only word that goes through my head is "yeast infection". And the way the bread crumbles (when untoasted) it doesn't seem that fresh. Nothing in that damn joint is fresh. Well, actually, it's probably fresh enough earlier in the day (since earlier memories are not nearly as bad), but at night, after the food has been oxidizing in those tubs for hours, it's like a gamble, whether you'll get sick or not. God the pains. Also, the lettuce is too damn much.

The staff was friendly enough though. That's a plus. And the chips were one day away from expiration. For that I give it a 2/10

I need to stop eating at crappy fast food restaurants. I like Five Guys but that's not even cheap.
