Re: Stepping Stones of Stepmania (Submissions Open!)
This Will Be the Day [James Landino Remix] (rCaliberGX) - accept w/ minor fix to holds
- really great song choice
- tone down the holds (esp the ones at like, 101s, 111s), since it's really hard to keep a few holds down WHILE hitting stream-ish patterns for beginners and even some intermediate players, i get what you're trying to do with the holds but let's cut them to half length or even quarter length for the longer ones
- asides from this, pattern choice is really good and layering is pretty damn solid
- ps this is your best file by far
Mirror Mirror v5 (rCaliberGX) - accept
- good for upper level beginners and lower intermed players
- ty for doing minor fixes
- ending is slick
Try and Follow Me (moches) - accept
- really slick gimmicks, all 3 charts cover a wide range of skill level
Thousand Cherry Blossom (newest ver) (DDC) - accept
- well now that i looked at it again the sync kind of drifts a bit by the end of the song, look into that, if not i'll just fix it
Mysterious Exorcism Rod (newest ver) (DDC) - accept
- easy to play, the mines are still iffy but this is good as is
Adept (Kommisar) - accept, feel free to make changes
-24th trill at like 17seconds in feels kinda hard? idk this is your choice
- one easier chart with a bit less layering in latter half of the song & less jacks overall would be nice, your choice still, without easier chart this is intermed chart which is fine too
- good song choice
Always Yours (Kommisar) - accept, mines are really freakin hard to avoid though
- parts with mines that look like jacks towards end is really really hard
- mines + hold part is acceptable though, really smart
- or u can make an additional chart without any mines, those mine parts are really hard to hit for some peeps
Taiyou Iwaku Moeyo Chaos (Kommisar) - accept as is
- heavy chart is very pattern friendly yess
- oni chart is good quadbait for good players, challenging to fc but noobies but still doable

Heh, I thought both charts were harder than what was required for the pack, especially after comparing with Mirror Mirror, but insta-accept is nice I guess lol. Yeah I get what you mean about the holds at 101 and 111. I cut the length, but kept the basic structure so the synths they go to are still accented.
When transitioning jumps into hands, I found it easier to hit if both arrows in the jump are the same in the hand (like [14][134]) should I change this?
Also I'm thinking of making an even easier chart because Heavy is still pretty challenging compared to Mirror Mirror Heavy.

lol is Mirror Mirror the only song with a lyric file so far? Also do you think Heavy should be a 9? when I made the ratings I used Quasar as a median for 10, and while Heavy definitely has less stream, it's more technical.

at the current bpm of your song jumps into hands aren't too difficult but if you wanna change to stuff like [14][134] that's your choice
if you want to make an easier chart then that'd be awesome lol
also there are a lot of other songs with lyrics, and for ratings on songs they'll be decided by the end of the pack so don't worry about that
Well I meant that I tried to make jumps into hands the way I specified lol, but yeah working on the 3rd chart right now and I'll send when I finish that.
Obviously there's other songs w/ lyrics, but how many have .lrc files in them (the thing that shows lyrics while you play like karaoke)?
Re: Stepping Stones of Stepmania (Submissions Open!)
Sent the revised version w/ standard chart. Standard is just Heavy slightly dumbed down in some sections and changing jump layering from each snare to the end of each lyric phrase.
