The gambling hall is rigged (unintentionally -- code was crappy and the randomizer was not very random); was able to show how mathematically once upon a time. I have no idea if the code's been tweaked at all since then, but bewaarreee. IIRC you're better off accepting bets than placing them (or something like that).

in my lifetime i've accepted a 50c or 100c bet and a 1kc bet. i've won them.

Yeah, I will never place a bet, much better chance of winning if you just accept them.
