So, on impulse, I decided to buy poppy, play her once in a bot match to work out her abilities, then go into a normal draft game. I had/have absolutely no clue how to build a poppy past rushing Trinity Force... and even then I'm sure nowadays a trinity rush doesn't work v.v

But anyway, first Poppy game, I'm still trying to wrap my head around how she's played .____.
I just ended up running around the map carelessly with an all-or-nothing attitude towards everyone I saw





Anyone with particular Poppy tips? I might just pick her up as more of a top main

poppy isn't a bad champion.. she can gib a carry stupidly well but yes thats all she can do and in this meta that has no place with the amount of assassins this game has now.. kha zix and zed do what poppy does but better imo because they kill the carry faster

o and poppy laning phase is not very good since there's absolutely no wave clear in her kit and it's easy to zone a poppy

Poppy is really fun if you are against people who have no idea what to do against her. If you get fed you can build anything and do anything. Her kit is amazing when you are fed.

HOWEVER.

Play a few more games against players that actually properly zone you literally the entire laning phase like nearly every champion can do to her, then possibly reconsider maining her. Kiwikid plays some Poppy top and even though he is a pretty good Poppy player, he gets destroyed even in "easy" lanes. Poppy doesn't win lanes unless the other team is massively retarded, or possibly if you have a strong jungler willing to camp top for you.

p.s. consider a Tiamat -> Hydra as first item so you can actually waveclear when they push. Poppy has a lot of the same issues as Fiora in that regard.

AD has more sustained damage with autos and generally stronger Qs, AP has a lot more burst with the 80% AP scaling on E and a lich bane for Qs
