However, I can't move Elite Ninja to team three because both kjwkjw and Elite Ninja specifically requested to be in the same team together, and I think they'll have a lot more fun that way.

Like I said above, LightArrow is being moved from team three to four.

I have been asking, and other teams have been rearranged since then. Unless I missed it, my request to be on the same team has not even been acknowledged in the thread. I do not want to sound like I am complaining, just wanna make sure I am heard too, even if you decide to leave the teams the way they were. Please and thanks.

I added everyone on my team as a friend so I could get to know them and I hope they get my post so we can have a plan of attack for this tournament!

It has come to my attention that you should not have nonsubmitting rounds be scored the same as the lowest score that round. For example, a team captain could have their strong players play the easier songs, then have the weakest player on the team not submit for the harder song(s) in a round and get the same scores as people of higher skill.

I bring this up because someone I know (not going to name names, for everyone's sake) is planning on doing just that, so a weaker player will not actually be playing two rounds in the same cycle. Calls it "taking one for the team" and refuses to consider other people's feelings about being asked to do that, regardless of whether it is unethical in the first place.

Edit: I felt like this was the best way to respond to this, after trying unsuccessfully for quite some time to reason with this person. This way no one is "ratted out" but the situation can be prevented.

The strategy is really not that good imho.

Putting a good player on an easy/medium song should give you an AAA or low SDG. Not submitting on a hard song is a huge gamble that could give you 50+ goods and completely ruins your chances at getting first place. You can't even prevent the situation because your weaker player wouldn't be able to top the "bad" score.

Not elaborating on my own strategy, but I really don't think a winning team will have a non submission ever.

Have to agree with Halfstep on that one, its going to be better to play to your skill level and get a couple SDG's than to get a couple AAA's and a B on a song..

That's because it was a terrible idea screaming out immaturity and childishness.

On another note,

Non submitting scores should get a penalty under the lowest score that actually played. If you are the lowest score of the round, it penalizes submitting and rewards doing nothing. That needs to change. Maybe have a 250-500 point deduction for non submitters. There is no reason someone should get the same score as someone who ACTUALLY played the song. 250-500 points can be made up, but won't lead to a winning strategy. How it is now, the lowest score of the round would never submit so they can have a better score from NOT playing the song.

It depends on how quickly everyone votes for captains and decides on the order and team names of each team. I've already decided all the songs for the first cycle, so I'm ready at any time. ^.^

@ryuyasha, I'm sorry for not responding to your last post; I was still deciding whether or not I would change the teams to let you two be on the same team. However, I told you to make requests to be on the same team before the teams were decided, but you didn't say anything until after the teams were decided. I'm sorry, but I've decided this morning that I'm not changing anymore teams, (unless someone drops out of the tournament or is inactive for an entire cycle without notifying me about his or her situation). >.< At least you'll have friendly competition though!

Also, in response to your most recent post, if that person does that, there will be consequences because not submitting for your round will result in that person being kicked out of the tournament unless you notify me beforehand, and have a good reason why you won't be able to participate any of the five rounds. It should be easy to make time for just three days (or less) out of fifteen days. ^.^
