lol AP Lucian's ult does easily 5k+ damage lategame. Played a PBE game with AP Lucian on my team and yeah, shit's crazy.
If someone on your team can CC anyone on their team, AP Lucian ults them and they die instantly no questions asked. Did I mention it has a full screen range and 30 second cooldown? Hell you can use it to poke and waveclear if needed, serves a similar purpose to the 30 second Lux laser except it does like 15 times the damage and soft CCs the person casting it for way longer.
With Nashor's Tooth and a Lich Bane, his non-ult damage is pretty respectable too. 0.9 scaling on his W is strong.

Also Spellbreaker reminds me of Cloak and Dagger, old Eleisa's Miracle, and Moonflair Spellblade as great sources of Tenacity that nobody will ever buy because they fit a basically non-existant itemization need and/or are slot-inefficient.

Mina's right, you'll see it on Qplanks and Tryndameres and maybe some tanky-ish champs that build Trinity Force (ummm Jax) and that's about it. Irelia's probably not going to buy it because Zephyr is better for sustained DPS.

The new cloak thingy is cool. Hooray more MR options without mana. Also taking the mana off Banshee's is an indirect nerf to Ryze and anything that nerfs that fucker is good.

Imagine it builds out of Hexdrinker and a Kindlegem.
Gives health, CDR, MR, and AD with the spellshield and the tenacity.

Tried out AP Lucian for myself. The numbers on his ult look big, until you realize that it's still physical damage. So your ult is actually doing less than half of what you think it is, being as you're building AP and (should) have 0 ArPen. AD is definitely more viable than AP in my opinion.

what you do is build AP items but run arpen l0l
just because you build AP doesn't mean your damage output is lowered because the damage done is physical

that's basically lucian oops (except trynd had insane op heal)

You use arm pen mastery and red runes, and then you buy LW/Black Cleaver

crazy I know

One AD item isn't going to kill you because guess what his ult also scales hella hard off AD too lolol

seems like a legit AP Lucian build

Oh also if you get Nunu on your team his bloodboil like doubles your ult damage gg

meanwhile me and darkztar tearing up ranked 5s with my 2nd 5-0 team. With how many Diamond 1s I've outlaned playing ranked 5s I should really get around to getting plat in solo queue zzz. 2 borin tho

ps i shit so many bricks on their team lmfao. The trist only got fed as a result of me. Got first blood thanks to Panth. Got an easy 2nd blood by myself because of pen boots rush and she burned flash during first blood and I didn't. Got 3rd kill on WW when he was taking his 2nd blue. Read him like a book. Then proceeded to double kill bot immediately after.

The rest is history, ps 6 item + elixir swain at 30 min is sick nasty. I think that's a record for me.

did the math and 525 GOLD PER MINUTE WHAT IS THIS DOTA LOL
