even if this is just a compilation of what YOU believe is the greatest of stepmania, very few people, if any, agree with your choices, so nobody is going to care about this project of yours

if your project had any merit, you would no doubt have gotten credit for it, but there is nothing here that is good enough to warrant someone to go through your entire songlist, and your poor representation of the game irritates most of the community

This is why I would rather people have access to all of the material at once rather than sampling it with individual Stepmania packages, and Youtube videos.

so your best choice would be to stop, and I'm telling you this to save yourself time and your reputation (as if that had any chance anymore). no one will give a flying fuck about your project if you choose to waste your time on it

My best choice is to get this game to a more representable point.

nah cmgutopia was a guy from '10 and earlier who made threads ::With Double Colons Like This:: all the time

he stepped exclusively ddr songs and remixes of ddr songs (iirc he released a paranoia pack in which is stepped like 30 fucking paranoia remixes)

I get the point exactly. You want me to give up, and I believe that would stifle creativity. For a limited time I am creating content for Stepmania that exposes little known well made music videos, demonstrate dance game fandom through freestyle videos, and help get Stepmania away from low resolution 12 megabyte music videos even though higher quality sources aren't always that hard to find.

If you're trying to get BG videos in vogue for stepmania, maybe you should make some good simfiles to go with them. If you're trying to get the best simfiles created in one place, you should get everyone's opinion first. If you're going to use other people's simfiles in a pack you're creating, ask permission first and avoid official charts.

I don't know if this'll get though to you or if you'll just come up with some flawed logic that entitles you to your flawed opinion on "the greatest." Just know that you're a laughingstock of the Stepmania community and it'll take a long time to dig you ass out of this one.

If you're trying to get BG videos in vogue for stepmania, maybe you should make some good simfiles to go with them.

That is a good idea. There are a lot of great songs with great music videos that would make good, but do not have Stepmania packages available to them.

If you're trying to get the best simfiles created in one place, you should get everyone's opinion first.

Is it too late to do that? I figured I would lead by example and also I am creating Stepmania packages that replace earlier creations I have made. It sounds like a good idea though.

If you're going to use other people's simfiles in a pack you're creating, ask permission first and avoid official charts.

Even if they are no longer contactable? That cuts out way too many quality steps.

there's a difference between doing something different which is bad and doing something different which is actually creative and constructive
