you cannot just "sign up" for any specific division, so don't even bother saying which division you want to be in. There is NO LIMIT to the number of spots in this tournament.

Placements have always been done by what you've accomplished so if you were D4 last time and haven't gotten any noteworthy D5esque scores since chances are extremely high that you're D4 again.

tldr: If your level ranks say yer D4, yer going D4 even if you skill dropped.

Q: Are you placing us based on our old stats? I haven't played in a while and have had a skill drop.
A: Yes, you will be placed based on your stats. Even if you haven't played in a while and are rusty, there's the chance you will get back up to that level rather quickly. There's time to practice before the tournament starts and the tournament runs for two months. That's a lot of time to regain skill.
