I would never think about rejecting music based on the criteria of style/genre alone, especially not while running a series called Omnicore

I might reject entries though, which I feel lack sufficient knowledge of composition and mixing / mastering. Which most of the regulars that post here are more than well qualified for.

Don't stress, take your time. You guys will be fine.

PS: Mr. Nick Skyline made an alternative cover which he might post here soon which I would like you guys to decide on which would be more suitable for the album.
The other cover will still be included as alt-cover, but obviously wont be the main attraction.

Additionally, Gaz was gonna make one, too, but you dont have to unless you already started working on it xd

While I did already send him the credits, this looks pretty damn amazing and it would be a shame imo to not at least use it as an alternative cover.

Tell you what, post it in the thread and we'll let the contributing musicians, you, me and scylax, excluded, decide which one shall be chosen

I need help with mastering. I feel like a raw gameboy recording won't do it this time, and I know little to nothing about mastering.


I have the .WAV for my raw recording though if someone could help me ._.

I was thinking "damn how do I sit here and struggle to explain mastering and how do I explain my own self-taught terminology effectively... is there no one more qualified out there?"

And the heavens opened, and KgZ appeared, smiling. A gameboy in one hand, a laptop with a suite of mastering software in the other.
He just nodded and gave me a confident smile and I knew, everything would be alright.

I sure want to do some thing, but, I dont have a decent computer with fl atm and I dont want to have to use pro tools :S btw I'm dling fl 10 demo right now to work with cause my install disk are in storage o: I just hope this comp can handle it.

kommi when you record the track make sure to leave some silence in there so you can hear the distortion clearly without anything being played over it. that way you can do some proper noise reduction processing on it, which should help immensely. I'm not sure it's worth sending all 4 channels separately as you'll end up with three times more distortion.

are we voting on the album covers btw? +1 for scylaax if that's the case

PS: If you send one track and have 2 already done, why not work on 2 more and just release an EP? (4 tracks) I'm sure if you wont find a netlabel to release it, you can just upload it to bandcamp or to mediafire

Eeeh, two are electronic songs (one of which I will probably submit) and I normally just release things as I finish them anyway, that's worked fine so far.
