I get the need for technical files in a game, but sometimes it's just like... really reaching for it. This chart is just hard to be hard, and it's not even hard in a skillful way, it's hard in a "hope you don't derp!" way. It also is not really relevant to the music behind it. Kind of a stupid antiskill vibrospeed file.

Husigi Usagi Milk Tei is a brutal chart, but it's also by one of the better stepartists on the site. jimerax definitely knows what he's doing in terms of layering/relevance, but he was intentionally aiming for a really hard file (sent to the Hard Songs Batch). Well, the quickest explanation about that - I pretty much made an agreement to Luis that I wouldn't push past him on Husigi (this was after about 500 runs and after really near-AAA runs); he agreed with it because he was blocked and I did too. When do i smile? came as a TB, I didn't even try to put up a fight because I knew I was bested. Luis put out 7g immediately and I was still hanging in the 20s with little to no motivation for winning. In any case, I put a small effort and ran into the same scores until finally just calling it quits.
I wouldn't have gotten any better than 4th had Rave7 been the song at the time, either. (At this moment though, I do feel like I can AAA Rave7 with a little luck.)
In any case, Luis is amazing and I'm really glad he made it through that because he put up one of the best fights ever seen in an official. <3Comment
